H2O Increases Data, EasyGO Reduces Data

H2O Wireless and EasyGO, both mobile subsidiaries of Locus Telecommunications, recently made some changes when it comes to data allotments. It is a little bit strange, though, that while H2O increased its data allotments, EasyGO actually decreased the amount of data that comes on the $10 add-on card.

EasyGO

The change on EasyGO’s service is pretty basic. Now, when you purchase a $10 data card you will receive 500 MB instead of 1 GB. The company still offers rollover as a feature, though, so any unused data will be kept. EasyGO continues to offers two plans: a $20 unlimited monthly plan that includes 100 MB of data, and a $30 unlimited international plan that includes 200 MB of data. You can check out all of the international features included in these plans on EasyGO’s website here.

H20 Wireless

There were quite a few changes on H2O’s plans, as the company increased the amount of data included on 3 different plans. Here is the new lineup of plans, with the changes in bold:
  • $30/month— Unlimited nationwide/international talk and text, $10 Int’l Talk Credit, and 1GB of hard capped data (previously 500MB)
  • $35/month— Unlimited nationwide/international talk and text, $10 Int’l Talk Credit, and 500MB of high speed data
  • $40/month— Unlimited nationwide/international talk and text, $20 Int’l Talk Credit, and 3GB of high speed data
  • $50/month— Unlimited nationwide/international talk and text, $20 Int’l Talk Credit, and 5GB of high speed data (previously 4GB)
  • $60/month— Unlimited nationwide/international talk and text, $20 Int’l Talk Credit, and 6GB of high speed data (previously 4.5GB)
H2O Wireless has revamped its plans multiple times in the last few months, each time with a focus on data. The company still is heavy in international features, which makes it competitive with T-Mobile MVNOs, and it’s also competitive with it’s data pricing. I think this is a pretty good looking lineup of plans overall, although it is a little strange that the hard capped plan includes more high speed data than the unlimited data plan. Both EasyGO and H2O Wireless operate on AT&T’s network. Unlocked GSM devices can be activated, or you can purchase a phone through H2O. Coverage and devices for sale can be found on H2O’s website.]]>
