LET ME TELL YOU I HAD SEVERAL PROBLEMS WITH BOOST. THE BIGGEST PROBLEM WAS TRYING TO FIND A QUALIFIED CONTACT TO QUERY CONCERNING MY PROBLEMS. I MUST SAY THAT THE CALL CENTER REPS DID NOT SOUND PROFESSIONAL, AND AFTER QUERYING SEVERAL OF THEM, THE REPS PROVED THAT FACT. I WOULD ASK THEM A QUESTION AND WAIT FOR THEIR RESPONSE. THERE RESPONSE TO EVERY QUESTION WAS , ‘ I NEED YOUR PHONE NUMBER.’ WELL I DON’T WANT TO BE YOUR FRIEND I JUST WANT INFORMATION. I WOULD ASK THEM IF THEY HAD ANY KNOWLEDGE OF THE SUBJECT AND THEY WOULD FINALLY SAY NO. I ASKED THEM TO TRANSFER THE CALL TO A CONTACT THAT COULD BETTER ASSIST ME. THEY WOULD ASK FOR THE PHONE NUMBER AGAIN. WHEN I WOULD CALL AND ASK FOR A CONTACT THAT HAS ASSISTED ME IN THE PAST, THEY WOULD ASK FOR THE PHONE NUMBER STATING THAT THEY HAVE TO GO INTO THE ACCOUNT. GEE WHY ARE YOU GOING INTO THE ACCOUNT IF YOU CAN’T PROVIDE ANY ASSISTANCE? I REALLY THOUGHT THAT THE SOFTWARE ON MY PHONE WAS OUTDATED. I COULD NOT FIND ANYONE TO SPEAK TO CONCERNIG THIS MATTER. I HAD EMERGENCY CALLS GOING TO THE WRONG AGENCY. MY GPS WOULD NOT REFRESH, AND I GOT NO NOTIFICATION OF VOICE MAIL MESSAGES. I WILL ALWAYS QUALIFY AND ASK FOR THE CONTACT THAT HAS THE MOST KNOWLEDGE IN TE AREA. HERE THE BOTTOM LINE : YOU HAVE A RIGHT TO PRIVACY. IF YOU FEEL THAT THIS IS NOT THE PERSON TO BEST ASSSIT YOU, THEN YOU DON’T HAVE TO GIVE THEM ACCESS TO YOUR ACCOUNT. THEY CAN NOT DENY YOU SERVICE BECAUSE YOU EXERCISE AN OPTION GIVEN TO YOU BY THE PRIVACY ACT. YOU NEVER HAVE TO GIVE A UNQUALIFIED CONTACT ACCESS TO YOUR ACCOUNT JUST BECAUSE I’S THE COMPANY’S POLICY. IN CLOSING I MUST SAY THAT IT WAS LIKE SPEAKING WITH THIRD GRADERS WHEN DEALING WITH THE OUTSOURCE CALL CENTER REPS FOR BOOST. ONE YOUNG LADY NAMED KIM GREETED ME BY SAYING, ‘WHAD UP!!’ SO IF YOU HAVE A BRAIN AND YOU ARE CURRENTLY DEALING WITH A BOOST MOBILE PHONE REP, THEN PLEASE TAKE TIME TO TAKE AN ASPRIN. HEADACHE TO FOLLOW.. MY GOD THEY SAY METRO PCS IS WORST, BUT THAT WILL TAKE SOME DOING!!

boost mobile is just another fraudulent company in an ever-growing list of fraudulent cell phone companies. yes i have a boost phone that was reboosted three weeks ago. my balance was a little over $29.80 and i had 80 days of which to reboost. I made two calls one-week apart each one roughly five minutes in total length, then on the third week a road emergency arose. so i reached for my faithfull phone to dial a local garage for some toll-truck service and got a rude awakening. the voice coming from my boost phone said this, (your balance is now zero with zero minutes you need to reboost for continued service) go-ahead argue, bitch and see how far you get with that fabulous customer service that is most definitely ‘nonexistent’ OK, so i’m unlucky with cell phones especially the prepaid type. boost got me for $29.80 this time and $15.40 last time. damn right it is the last time now baby. i’m so angry that i will take great pleasure in smashing this damn thing flat with a 35 pound sledgehammer. after that, i never want to hear the name boost mobile ever again in this lifetime…

Alright, I gave in a tried boost. I could boost a car faster than this phone takes to work. I returned phone. Let me share this with ye all. I USE to have nextel while nextel owened it soley. I had 27 phones replaced in a two year time. Talked 4000-5000 mins a month and all I can say is 1000 mins a month were redials and hang ups. That IDEN network for cell service just flat out stinks. The two way service was pretty good. Sad thing is cell phone would not make a call but the two way would work. IDEN is outdated. And I know for a fact that I was told the network cant handle the extra traffic. So, boost on you booster !

I too am glad I read the reviews before decided to switch from Cricket. I agree Cricket sucks, but it seems they aren’t the only company who does. Guess I’ll have to research a little longer before making a decision about cell phone service. It’s no wonder our country outsources. There is no such thing as Customer Service anymore!

My contract ended with T-Mobile last November so I began searching for another provider that would give me all the things I want for very little to spend. I walked into Radioshack to talk to someone about Sprint plans since a brand new Instict was given to me. On one of the stands I walked by when entering the store had a little sign on top of it with these phone packages hanging off of it. I had never heard of Boost Mobile until then. While the store clerk kept pushing a Sprint plan, I was curious about the Boost plan. I went home, researched online and decided to jump in with both feet. I was delighted to cancel my t-mobile plan cuz I was disgusted to no end with their customer service. So…I’ve gone from a post paid account to a prepaid phone service. It’s a relief to know I won’t be paying more than $50 a month for service for EVERYTHING. I had a $70 plan with T-mobile just for phone service, that for whatever reason ended up being $99 every month after all of the taxes and fees were included. Now…I have had a few problems with the whole text messaging thing. The phone and walkie talkie work seamlessly, my call waiting works fine if you adjust the default settings (default is no). Also a setting in there for delay of message notifications. Don’t know why it’s there but I set that for no. Customer Service (by phone) indicated a nationwide issue on the text messaging, but customer service (via email) indicated that it can take up to 5 days upon activation to propogate the text messaging and web access services to the phone. So…it’s been 2 weeks, and it is getting better. Still not perfect, but improving. It could also be the phone itself (that’s what I think it is) cuz I bought the cheapest phone for 29.99 – didn’t want to spend mega bucks if the service sucked. Needless to say, I’m happy overall and will be getting a better quality phone within the next few weeks. My significant other was so impressed with it, he went and bought one too – a better phone and NO problems with any of his services. This unlimited plan is the BEST-PRICED plan of ALL providers – bar none. By the way, I sold the Instict to a friend of mine who has Sprint. She pays over $300 a month for 2 phones on the plan. What a waste for few bells and whistles…

I bought this phone about 3 weeks ago and switched my phone number. My friends complain they get an error message at times when they call me. Also, my texts frequently have long delays(both sending and receiving). I called customer service about it and after about 15 minutes got an operator(not bad). He asked for info off of my phone and sim card. I’ll update as to whether this solves the problem.

I’ve had my i776 boost mobile for a month and say, ‘not bad.’ I have had to call customer service over my ringtones not downloading, and had to wait 4 days after I purchased my phone before the tones would download, so I was a bit disappointed. Customer service was very pleasant and to my surprise, they spoke clear English. I have the 50 unlmtd plan and I have no complaints on that. No surprises, no worries. I have no problems with texting. No problems with call waiting. I frown on the camera feature as it isn’t the greatest, but I’m not one to take a bunch of pics anyway. The speaker feature cuts in/out so I don’t use that much. There is no voicemail indicator so I never know when I have a voice mail. I do occassionally get dropped calls, and I don’t know why, but it is far and few in between. I would recommend Boost Mobile for those who want it all at the cheapest price possible.

I have used countless providers in the past, and I believe BOOST is second only to Verizon perhaps. No dead spots, call waiting is great- $50/mo unlimited is great, and international call rates are the best around. So far my texts seem to go through just fine, so I have no clue what others are complaining about with the texting. It’s hard to take advantage of free ringtones since BOOST blocks them, that’s annoying and sure there could be cooler phones but for $50/mo you don’t have to worry about those surprise hundreds of dollar phonebills. If you make international calls at all, get Boost. If you talk or text a lot, get Boost. Sometimes when I make calls they don’t connect properly or something, both me and the other person only hear silence so I hang up and retry a few secs later no biggie. It doesn’t happen often, and if that’s the worst issue count me in. Customer service is great, IF you can handle waiting quite awhile to get through- but with Boost, I find no need to call customer service unlike when I had other providers so I’m happy myself. I’ll update if I change my mind but I highly recommend!

I have had problems with dropped calls and late texts. sometimes i find that when i take the battery out the phone will work but i shouldn’t have to do that. right now i have the i776. I recently bought the W385. If this does not improve with the new phone I will sell both and switch back to at&t.

Worst service ever. Texts arrive sometimes days after they’ve been sent, the network is often down, the customer care team haven’t a clue what they’re talking about. Terrible. Save your money and just buy a couple of tin cans joined together with a piece of string – it’ll give you a far more efficient service than this crap.

I love my boost unlimited talk plan. true i do not get text messages from other people that have att or another carrier. i always get text from people onthe sprint network.. but i didnt get the phone to text. i use my phone non stop 8 hours a day so this plan worked perfect for me. i have call waiting the boost plan added that as of feb 18th of this year. for the people complaining all i can really say is you get what you pay for..the network that this phone is on is a slower old network..so what do you expect. do your homework first before just jumping into anything. i loved my VM

DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY NOR TIME: Boost Mobile may be cheap but their network is non-dependable, service is down majority of the time, text & data (web) does not work 50% of the time, contacting Customer Service takes literally days, and if reached they don’t care your phone doesnt work.

I have had a Boost Mobile phone for almost 5 years I make about 20 calls a month, and 12 or so texts. I have only had 1 no service spot in all that time, and I’ve made calls from northern New Hampshire, to New Jersey. I live in Massachusetts. the Phones that they offer are of good quality and customer service has always been great to me. the only problem I have is the limited selection of phones to choose from. They need more flip phones at a cheaper price.

I’ve had Boost’s Unlimited $50 plan for about a week now, with no reason to complain, so far–no dropped calls, Call Waiting works great, so does Voice Mail, the phone is fine, and I haven’t had a single reason to call Customer Service yet. Oh yeah, and of course 411 is not a free service–folks, it says it right there, where it promises you free minutes, texts, etc. What amazes me here, though, are all those one-star reviews that say something like ‘Oh, I see all these negative reviews, therefore Boost must really suck. I am not going near them, so you suck, Boost!’ Good thinking, guys! And I thought that Americans were a nation of consumers…apparently, even making an educated consumer’s decision is too strenuous mentally for some people. Here’s a thought–make your own opinions based on your personal experience, and then post them here, eh?

I am so angry at Boost Mobile. I wanted to sign up with their unlimited plan. I called, to verify their first month is free, and asked if I could go to their store and select any of their phones, and if they would all work on that plan. After waiting on hold for about twenty minutes, I finally reached a rep, who said, yes, any phone would work, and I would get my first month free. I drove to the next town, and bought one of their less expensive phones. When I got home, I called to activate, and they told me the phone I got would NOT work, and that I would have to get one of the $100+ dollar phones for that plan. Of course, they kept pressuring me to pay the $50 for the first month (for a lesser plan), with my credit card… the month I was told I would receive free with the unlimited plan. This company tries to sucker people in, and then convince them to spend more and more. I will never do business with them!

NEVER EVER EVER BUY BOOST!!! I call 411 I get another happy boost customer, he doesn’t have a phone book, he tells me ‘yea these things happen’ I called boost, yep I was charged $1.29, (they did a credit my account). I try for voice mail, after two days I think I am actually going to be able to get my messages, nope same thing as 411 another not so happy boost customer. I’am at my desk green bars no bars dropped calls are the norm, customer service tells me to call them when this happens, OK , 20 minutes on hold several times a day? Didn’t know I worked for boost. Another great answer, dropped call? Must be the other persons phone. They tried to fix my phone yesterday, didn’t work but I had to reset the phone, now I’am too frustrated to figure out how to reset it.Yea I’am a guy and I won’t ask for help and I’am over 50, bad combination for this type of thing. Never again. This is the best part, I live and work in Palo Alto CA. Boost thinks its might just be the area. Can we say Google, Yahoo, Facebook Sun micro, HP and Stanford, sorry were out of the loop. Wait! Stanford is always conducting studies, I know how to create brain damage!! buy boost. I knew if I thought about this long enough I could find something good to say.

Update 02/25/09: This the end. I am leaving Boost Mobile for another prepaid service. Text messages and calls do not go through and Customer Care and Technical Support are not responsive. They continue to sign up new customers despite the iDEN network being overwhelmed. After work, I will be porting my number to a different carrier. T-Mobile has prepaid plans that are not as competitively priced but the service is usable.

The phones are over priced, cheap quality, and just plain ugly! I’ve been with boost for 5 months and i hate it! The only reason I decided to go with boost in the first place was the 1$ a day chat plan. Texting is terrible! There is a MAJOR delay in receiving texts, i don’t receive them until 3 in the morning and a lot of the times its duplicate messages. Whats up with not being able to make a phone call? A lot of the times i get a ‘The code you have dialed is unavailable please try your call again.’ so i have to keep redialing until it finally goes through. I don’t know if its just my phone but i have no call waiting.

Update: Well, after having the service for almost three weeks I need to demote it by one star. Call waiting is very nice but it has caused difficulty when checking voicemail. Technical support has had to give me an access number other than my own number. This means checking voicemail isn’t the two button presses that I would like but the service does continue to work well otherwise.

To all those who are not satisfied. There is no problem to speak your mind nor say how you feel..understand these people work to make you satisfied. They do not have to work there, there is always going to be disadvantages about a cell company, it just happens to the best of us at times, the representatives will be more then happy to help you like they helped me, but you got to be willing to be patient like they are.. if they did not know how to do there job then they would not be there… I’m also sure if they can resolve all your issues they will… they are not incontrol of that all the time nor do they have that power… those who cry over .10cents.. go online and check your transactions before you decide to complain about something that is valid. If you do not know how to manage your money, I don’t believe a prepaid account is best for you… if not that check out the new 5 unlimited plan they have. Also about that comment to the mexico call center… I belive boost mobile was pretty smart to do that, there is all types of races that need to troubleshoot there phone. English is not the only language in America. Bottom line… do not discriminate against something your not sure of. Have your opinions, but do not bring someone down due to your mistakes. I think boost mobile did a good thing with the 50 unlimited plan for paygo, also call waiting.

The calls I made were ALL INCLUSIVE with EVERY OTHER PLAN I have ever had, hell, the calls I made were about 12 miles away. And I get CHARGED FOR THOSE BY THE MINUTE?? Unlimited my ass. I do get double text sometimes I dunno why, but its unlimited so I dont complain. The $50 unlimited does not support call waiting or 3-way, but its unlimited call them back after, it is ok. The only problem I have is that the cute phones that I want are discontinued too fast or unavailable in my town. Do you know why BoostMobile has poor and turdy service? Beacause the biggest customer service center is in the Mexican Border and the company who manages that center hires deported gangmembers and criminals from the US,and since they dont have any criminal records in Mexico, that company hires them just because they speak english and accept minimum wage salaries, therefore that people dont have any personal moral values to give any importance to their jobs seriusly there, that’s why you get screwed by boost without any lawsuit problems, since they are in a foreign country..that sucks!!!

Amen on the following , keep a check and see if your not getting ripped off too, our family has about 10 phones, and we started keeping up with this, every time the boost gets to 1.00, service is waked off, they got your dollar and you got no service!! Suppose to be 1.00 a day for two way chat soon as you key it up and wind up with a zero balance, you service is cut. Never mind you had already paid for you day service of Chat. so the dollar a day chat plan is a huge scam! lets say you buy 30 dollar boost card..you would assume you would be able to use your phone for 30 days right? nope only 29 days because on the 30th day when it takes the dollar out of your account it puts u at a zero ballance.. so every month you pay for 30 days.. but only actually get 29 days.. because you cant use your phone when it has a zero balance! this would rip off the average person twelve bucks a year! times how many people use booost!..don’t believe me? call customer care…(which is terrible as well)

I have been with Boost now for about 1.5 years. The coverage is good. I rarely get a dropped call. The phone selection sucks, for sure, but the service is good. The customer service is OK, better than MetroPCS. I took my phone to Las Vegas and was able to use it for only $0.l5 versus the criminal charge MPCS charges with their ‘Traveltalk’. I love knowing what my bill will be and not having to count minutes. My only issue is I would like a better variety of phones. All the prepaid horror stories, I am not familiar with. So far, I have had no issues with the Unlimited plan.I wanted to switch to the new ‘Monthly Unlimited with talk, text, web, email, but there is no way to keep your phone number going from ‘unlimited’ to ‘monthly Unlimited, but you can go from ‘prepaid’ to ‘Monthly Unlimited’ without changing your number. Changing my number is out of the question,so unless I can get a blackberry flashed to ‘Boost’, I am stuck with the W385 (which is a good phone but I would prefer something nicer). Overall, I have been happy with Boost, and would only consider switching to get Blackberry use.

The worst prepaid service available. Coverage is abysmal because it uses the Nextel network. Per minute rate isn’t too bad, but you can do much better on other prepaid carriers. Remember to check coverage maps for the carrier that provides the service to each prepaid reseller. For Boost, look at the Nextel map. For Tracfone, look at the AT&T map. For Virgin, look at Sprint’s native coverage map (no roaming off of Sprint). For PagePlus, check Verizon’s coverage map. Even though Tracfone and PagePlus charge for off-network roaming, at least you’ll have coverage.

Been ecstatic with the Boost Unlimited plan for over a year now. Its value is the best I’ve experienced. I’ve tried the MetroPCS, T-Mobile, Sprint, and Nextel plans in the past, but none offered as much value as Boost Unlimited. I’ve probably averaged a couple hours a day on it without ever seeing a bill over $50. The coverage area is great (maybe 2nd only to Verizon – which is more expensive – here in Silicon Valley). The voice mail service that comes the Boost Unlimited plan works great. The Boost Unlimited phone that I purchased (the W385) cost $130 upfront, but that was still a bargain because the phone is an engineering masterpiece, the first month of service was included, and the Boost Unlimited plan was free of those nasty little surprises you tend to get when your service provider introduces you to the finer points of their contracts (if you’ve ever received a surprise $200-$300 bill from Sprint or T-Mobile like I have then you’ll know what I mean).

As a prospective Boost customer, I must say I am confused by their two-faced promos. If the Unlimited Plan is really ‘unlimited talk,’ then why do they specify that mobile-to-mobile minutes are included in the ‘unlimited’ plan only if they aforementioned minutes come from a Sprint phone? If ‘unlimited’ means ‘unlimited,’ there would be no reason to parse the word ‘unlimited.’ In other words, it’s NOT unlimited. It’s unlimited outgoing calls, perhaps, but doesn’t include all incoming calls. That is not what I call ‘unlimited.’ If anyone can clear up for me what ‘unlimited’ means please email me tedcohen@hotmail.com and put ‘unltd boost?’ in subject line.

I’ve had Boost for a while now and I am pretty happy with the service. Unlike most others on here, I have not had problems with their customer service. The opposite. They’ve been courteous and quick to solve problems. For instance, I’m on the $1 Plan but was getting charged for a Basic Plan. I quickly called one of their customer service reps and I got refunded the money instantly and haven’t encountered any more problems since then. I do appreciate the Unlimited Nights/Weekends/Texts (BEWARE: Media texts are NOT free), However, I do have my issues with the phones. They are a bit cheap and overpriced, but they do get the job done. The reception isn’t the best (Netxtel/Sprint never was though) and sending out text messages can be a pain (I have to retry a few times every once in a while). But overall (and after researching all the Prepaid carriers), I do think Boost offers the best plans. Virgin and Tracfone are a bit overpriced and don’t offer as much. AT&T I left for Boost so I wouldn’t recommend them in the first place, and T-Mobile, Altell and Verizon are not bad, but still a bit overpriced. They do offer better phones at better prices though. That’s just my two cents. Research before you buy though, it will give you a piece of mind before/after you buy.

Boost is a prepaid service with excellent customer service. I enjoy it very much I havent had any problems with boost. The billing is NOT DIFFICULT to understand you pay your bill on your monthly recharge date you get a month of service IF you PAY A DAY LATE YOU GET 29 DAYS OF SERVICE and SO ON. You CANT EXPECT to get 30 days of service IF YOU DIDNT PAY ON TIME.

boost sucks… so the dollar a day chat plan is a huge scam! lets say you buy 30 dollar boost card..you would assume you would be able to use your phone for 30 days right? nope only 29 days because on the 30th day when it takes the dollar out of your account it puts u at a zero ballance.. so every month you pay for 30 days.. but only actually get 29 days.. because you cant use your phone when it has a zero balance! this would rip off the average person twelve bucks a year! times how many people use booost!..don’t believe me? call customer care…(which is terrible as well)

Boost works very good even in the WRONG TURN areas if you know what I mean. Now only .10 a minute for basic plan. Phones do cost more but the phones are of better quality than most. Easy to add time and you only have to add every three months. NO DAILY CHARGE FOR PHONE !! I HATE the other companies who do this it is stupid and unfair.

I love Boost Mobile! My husband’s work phone is through Nextel so he bought me a Boost phone a few years ago. I never had a problem with getting a signal and the phones I’ve had with them are nice, not cheap looking like most prepaid companies I’ve had in the past. I just bought my tween son his very own boost mobile phone too. I also love how Boost lowered the rate to 10 cents a minute anytime! The boost mobile website is great too.

I work at a cell store that sells boost mobile phones…and I have to say…the customer service for boost mobile is very good…I have to talk to them at least 3 to 4 times a day and they are very friendly and 9 times out of 10 resolve the problem with the phone. If you have teenagers who are wanting a phone for christmas…Boost would be a good phone to get. They offer unlimited talk and text for 60 dollars a month…you never have to worry about receiving a phone bill for 100 to 200 dollars for over usage of minutes…since it is unlimited.

Out of everything I read from this site and the Boost Mobile site this looks like a great plan. I think it is VERY obvious that a pay-as-you-go plan is better for shorter time periods and other plans that you would sign up for 12 or 24 months would be more suitable for long term use.

My boost phone works fine with some peoples phones, but not so well with others. The service to place a call always works fine, but the texting can be hit or miss. Some people do not get half the texts i send them. Some times i get duplicates of texts that other people sent me 5 or 6 hours after i got the original message. Very poor texting. But like i said, it works 100% of the time with some other phones. wierd.

If you like to text a lot, then DONT GET BOOST. In some instances it takes a long time for others to receive your text message, and vice-versa. I was actually texting somebody the other day like at around 6:00 pm and for some reason they never texted back. But man was I wrong!! That person responded to my text at around 6:30 but I didn’t receive it until 3:00 in the morning!!!! If they could fix that problem then great, but I was very unhappy!!

Short version: Stay away from Boost Mobile & Motorola! Long Version: I bought a Boost Mobile Motorola i335 less than 3 month ago. It died on me today. It was working fine when I left work. I placed it on the table and found it inoperable 3 hours later. I didn’t do a thing to it! The buttons didn’t work, I had messages in the negative zone (-1 messages, for example), nor could I turn it off. I took out the battery a number of times and the SIM card too. When I started it back up, it still didn’t work. I talked to two service reps, but they gave me a phone number to Boost’s Customer Care. No go. Apparently the repair / replacement division is closed 8:00pm PST despite their website’s claim of ‘business hours, 4am PST – 11pm PST”. Now I’m out $60+ for having a piece of crap that lasted for less than three months, and will lose the ‘account balance’ that I had. Now, because I had faith in a slip shod company, I’m without a phone. I’ll never buy another Boost / Motorola phone.Sign me PO’d…big time.

I have had two boost phones. They both have been great. I almost always have service even in a somewhat rural area. The first one i had for about 4 years. It finally broke at the hinges. When switching to my new one, I had no problems with customer service and I was able to keep my old number. They seem pretty durable, as I have dropped mine on many occasions. I use the prepaid cards you buy from a local retailer, such as Target. I only wish they had more of a variety of phones to choose from. Other than that, I’m satisfied.

Worst cell plan I’ve had. I’ve been with Virgin Mobile and Tracphone too. I am disgusted with Boost. Their phones are lousy for the price. The coverage is hit or miss in the city (of all places) and nowhere near what they promise where I live in the country. Costs per month are great, but I am on the verge of jumping ship for a better provider…even if it costs more.

No call waiting sucks but doing the math compared to all other plans this is the best. Can go anywhere in the US where towers are and I have great reception. Its simple; get what you need. One thing though all cell companies will try to jip you some way.Gotta watch your account activity on the web which their site is great showing all calls and text charges.Have had no problems just great service and good customer service also.

WHen I tried to sort it out with the company talk about horrible customer service more like I don’t give a $H!+ attitude. they also changed their website so you can’t see who has called you! I called and asked why it changed and they stated privacy issues so what is caller ID for if you can’t see who has called you. As far as I am concerned they are not a customer oriented company just in it for the money!

I wish the rating had no stars. I got one of those boost mobile phones for work. I thought it was great especially since it was prepaid and it was only $1 whenever i used the walkie talkie for the whole day. THEN i started getting advertised messages for bar parties and specials at footlocker. I called customer service and they said all the could do for me was change my number since the cell numbers are recycled. Now, mind you I didn’t sign up for those stupid alerts. I stopped getting them and then a few days later they hit my cell AGAIN!! and then i checked my balance and it took .10 away from me. I called customer service and they told me the ‘FREE incoming’ policy has changed, I will have to eat the .20 for the two messages. I said I didn’t sign up for those alerts. After the run around, she told me i can’t control what content comes to my phone nor can i stop the messages and it would cost me $20 to change my number..(if its recycled numbers what makes you think that wont happen on the new number im given?) Worse off, the woman from customer service tells me she has the same problem with her personal boost phone. (im sure she gives herself credits tho) So now I still receive calls and text messages that are unwanted. BOOST MOBILE SUCKS!!

Boost mobile is th ebest pre-paid service by far. The Chat plan is the best deal in pre-paid. Metro PCS is a joke. The Metro PCS has a tiny coverage area. The phones metro PCS offers are worthless and so is being a metro PCS customer. They are a waste of time and money. Boost mobile offer international long distance at great rates. The have push to talk for a $1 a day. The chat plan offers free mobile to mobile for $1 a day. There phone could be better and cheaper. However the phones are solid. The customer service is amazing and the coverage area is the same as Sprint Nextel. Oh not to mention for a $1 a day you get free mobile to mobile to sprint nextel and boost mobile customers. The Push to talk charges you only if you use and the the chat plan charges ayou a $1 a day and gives you 10 cents any time.Best of all if you are on the boost mobile chat plan you get free texting. I have tried all the pre-paid phones and nothing is better then boost all around. There is no sense in wasating your money and trying other places that sound cheaper in the long run you end up spending more and you and wasting time.

I like boost simplicity. The phone service works, if you want to use the two way radio (ptt) or the text messaging or the web its a cheap price compared to other companies. The customer service reps have always been nice, maybe a little too speedy to get you off the phone when you need tech support instead. Im pretty knowledgable about my phone and can fix simple problems on my own but I continue to have a problem with my signal strength and it saying no service quite often and being able to actually use my phone on the web as advertised for anybody’s mobile web(boost included), and the capabilities that my phone supposedly has. The reps could be a little more helpful for tough issues like that instead of just pawning my problem off to Nextel Data Services, of which I have been repeatedly hung up on or being told that because Im a boost customer after being transferred to their dept.(but boost says they have to help me because its nextel’s system). It is cheap but at&t has the rollover minutes and prices are getting competitive. I may be switching soon. Good Luck Boost. Hopefully you will grow up to be a big company one day.

If you think boost rips people off then go to a contract phone so you can get a 300 phone bill a month and have to pay 200 to cancel leaving you with 500 dollar debt and a burnt credit. guys use your head cmon. 50 dollar unlimited talk with long distance free. Also on the prepaid premium plan you have to make sure you dont download ringtones or send text because it will deduct the cost of the ringtone or text from your 600 minutes. your better off paying 70 flat for unlimited text and web with 600 day time minutes and free nights and weekends after 7 pm. What in the world makes them think such business practices will evolve into any customer loyalty, say when my teen decides he’s responsible with his phone, and I want to purchase a regular monthly plan? You won’t see this family on your boost service! Not us (ca. 70 people we influence in our family), not our co-workers (lots & lots) and not our friends and associates (to many to count). For the most part, Boost Unlimited is quite good at coverage and signal quality. I live in Redlands, CA, and have NEVER encountered a no-signal condition. The Motorola K3m KRZR is a sweet phone, full of features. What SUCKS the BAGS is the idiotic billing policy! Unlimited is a ‘prepaid’ service, right? WRONG!!! If your billing cycle ends on the 6th of each month, as long as you have $55 in your account by the 6th, your service continues on, uninterrupted. HOWEVER… and this should attract the attention of the Fair Trade Commission and FCC at the LEAST, if for some reason you can’t reboost the phone for a month, until, for example, the 7th of the NEXT month, meaning that the phone has been dead for 30 days, no service, GUESS WHAT? In order to have the phone turned back on, you must pay $110!!! Why in the f**k must I pay for the month the phone was deactivated???? THIS IS A SCREW JOB!!! I lost my job some time back, and couldn’t pay January’s $55 reboost. In March I went to the reboost store, and was told by the boost agent on the phone that it would be $165 to turn on the phone, I owed Jan-Feb and MARCH! The goddamn phone was OFF for this time! i just bought the i425t yesterday. Candy bar style, walkie talkie, web…for $40, i can go without a camera or video. i’m a tracfone user, who left sprint after a decade of service. Sprint was no problem when my job required it. I noticed i had less dropped/lost calls than my associates, who used other carriers..and the cellphone was our direct connection to the money at our job.so i stayed with sprint for that one strong point. when i left that job, i no longer needed sprint at that price per month; when reliability on the road was no longer an issue. Tracfone became the trusty line that would bring me the calls at a nominal fee;an initial large investment paid off in double minutes and yr long expiration…and since i only needed something that was simply connected to the phone system, the simple plain style didn’t matter. Then i saw this Boost i425t. i thought the price was low because the guy selling them didn’t know what cellphones go for these days..came back a month later, and it was still the same $40. So i bought it…and i’m finding there’s more than meets the eye with this service..i didn’t realize the scope of their service, for a prepay phone..and YES: without a doubt, they shrewdly cornered the market on feature packed phones and services for pay as you go customers..this ain’t your granny’s tracfone.. I’ve read all the above reviews, and plan on avoiding the mistakes my forecallers have made: using their credit cards..going online to pay, but neglecting to go online to monitor usage…surfing and playing on the phone without realizing almost every button click costs money…. I’m holding my breath and keeping my tracfone for backup, but right now, it’s clear to me why boost is a frontrunner AND raising the bar of market demands and delivery..boost is like the google of cellphones…

I am very disappointed with the customer service over the phone as I reboosted my cell. I was given a total including taxes and gave me credit card number and was informed I had been reboosted. This evening my car broke down on the interstate and when using my cell was told I had no funds on my account. I sat in my car for 4 hours until I got help and am home at 6am. I being a female was never more scared for my safety. I was informed by your company that I was 55 cents short on my payment. I didn’t give the sales person the amount to debit my credit card he told me and I gave him the card and access. I am so upset and am now not only unable to work today in one hour from returning home having no sleep but am still shacking from the trauma of this entire event. I have talked to the manager on staff today and he was only able to say that he would credit my account the 55 cents and I can now use my cell. The ask of service and concern for such an error on the part of the person who debited my credit card that in no way was my fault and cost me a night of sheer terror and loss of work as I have had no sleep being as I upon returning home with only 1 hour before my day schedule for work and nerves on edge as I am still shaking from this event. I would have thought your company would have credited my account for the month and at least been sympathetic in dealing with my situation and at least apologized for the mishap regardless of the fact that who I spoke to not being the person responsible being as all who are employed by your company represent the company would make a reasonable attempt to make an effort to make me feel as though I am a valued customer and important enough to make an attempt to do something to make me feel better about this and treat this error on your part with a reasonable refund or credit for the month to keep my account with your company and see that your customers are happy and valued. You offer a very good value with your service all except for the care and compensation to your customers when you make a mistake that is in no way shape or form the actions of the customer and your disinterest in making any efforts to compensate for the distress and harmful situation you have inflicted upon a female who depends on this service for not only convenience but safety measures having a cell phone for emergency purposes when in distress and need 911, police assistance or aide from her husband to be safe in an emergency. Your customer feared for her life this evening and you let me down when I needed you the most and was the main reason for getting a cell in the first place!!!!!!!!

Can I give no stars? Boost has ‘system issues’ on a frighteningly regular basis. At LEAST once a month my phone is down for hours if not days at a time, which Boost never reimburses their customers for. I set my account up to be paid automatically monthly by credit card. They forgot to take my payment, even though the money was there, two months in a row, which resulted in my phone being cut off for more than 24 hours and me having to make phone calls lasting over 30 minutes to their rude customer service people to get it straightened out each time. I have never called them that I have not had to hold for at least 15 minutes. Clearly, they have many more customers than they can handle, but instead of fixing their problems and trying to make the customers happy, they spend a fortune advertising for new customers to replace the ones like my friends and I who are leaving.

So glad that I found this page before purchasing a Boost phone and plan. First, I am disappointed with the limited selection of phones under the Boost unlimited monthly plan. I can easily see how the pay-as-you-go plan can add up quickly. So the unlimited plan seemed like the ideal solution. I have taken my time to research several pay-as-you-go cell phone providers and each have their downfalls. I want a cell phone, but I am not willing to deal with unexplained outages, lost minutes, poor customer service and more to get one. Is it too much to ask for a prepaid cellphone compaany that actually lives up to its product expectations. I will do without a cell phone until I find a company that cares about delivering great service, and providing even greater service when they fail to live up to that promise.
