There is a $15.00/month deal with Net 10 but its under the Easyplan and looks like ypu have to sign up for it and they deduct each month from your credit card. I would perfer to buy per month if I choose.

I currently have net 10 phone and I wanted one of their phones as stated on the web site, that even offered 300 min. with the purchase of the phone. But when I got the phone the 300 minutes were not on the phone, and when I called customer service, they state that the 300 minutes, was not included. But on their web-site, it did state that it was included. They will tell you anything to get you to purchase their product. Needless to say, I will not be a part of net 10 anymore once my minutes expire.

ALERT! ALERT! The customer service SUCKS big time. Bought a ringtone for my phone and for some reason it went to my husbands phone and they will not do anything about it. When I called them about it they had me do a bunch of stuff which deducted mins off my phone said they would replace them and they didnt. I have also had many problems with the phone deducting mins and the text not going through. DO NOT BUY NET. 10 PHONES. THEY SUCK! I agree with everyone that has had problems getting a person that speaks English and if you do get through to a rep you have to wait for ever ( they told me it would be 3 mins i guess forigeners cant tell time i was on hold for 2 hours wasting my time and racking up a nice phone bill for me) I could here them but I guess They couldnt here me because I was given them an ear full. HATE NET.10 PHONE AND CUSTOMER SERVICE.

wow, net 10 customer service is so frustrating to deal with!!! You get asked the same questions over and over, and put on hold so many times, and it takes SO VERY LONG to get anything resolved. If you don’t like waiting, pick another service provider!!!

Great pricing on a phone with exceptional coverage. I have been using it for a bout a year now with absolutely no problems. The phone has worked so well for me so far, I got my mother one and will probably get one each for my kids within a few months. Easy to buy new minutes, and at 10c a minute it is quite a bargain. A lot of other carriers seem cheaper at face value but they add daily charges or fees for texting, etc. NET10 have decent quality phones even if they are not the latest models.

I have had Net 10 for a year and a half. I have 3 phones (1 for me and 1 for each of my kids). The customer service folks are in Latin America somewhere. They have always been courteous but sometimes the language barrier kicks in. I had problems porting my phone number but it was mainly because the website wasn’t clear on how to do it. I’ve ported my number twice because I dropped my first phone and it took a hard hit. I had to get a new SIM card the first time I ported my phone because it wasn’t the right card for my location. I ordered that phone over the Internet. When I bought my replacement phone, I went to KMART and bought one off of the rack. I also paid the $5-10 to get a replacement in case something happened again. I guess the one from my local KMart had the right SIM card because I came home, went on line and ported my number immediately. The first time I ported my number it was a Verizon to Net10 port. The second time was a Net10 to Net10 port. I am very happy with the phones. I use an LG600 and my kids use the Motorola V176. I had service at the beach when my sister’s Sprint phone did not. I use the monthly automatic minute load and get 250 minutes a month and each kid’s phone is loaded with 150 minutes per month. My monthly cell phone bill is less than $60 for all three of us. The minutes accrue, we don’t talk excessively so I usually have about 500 minutes on my phone. One of my children has 2000 minutes the other has about 800. We text a lot so that’s only 5 cents per message. So Far, we are very happy with our Net 10 phones.

Everything has worked quite well until recently. Im getting voicemails I dont want to listen to and there is no way of canceling the service. The voicemail banner stays across the screen until it’s answered. Im still waiting for them to tell me how to reject voicemails and get the banner off the screen. I hope this goes better then the last time. P.S. if anybody here can help…feel free.

Received my phone and tried to port my number from AT&T. Waiting for them to send a new sim card. This is the 2nd time I’ve tried Net10 and I never can get a local number (I have a # until I get the new sim). I’m in La Grange TX and got a number local to Bryan TX both times. I tried to find out this before I bought it (on the phone for 55 min.) and they could not give me an answer. I ported my local number so I hope things work out OK. Main question is does everybody have a problem getting a local number? When I gave them my zip code, they said it would be a local # but you can search the internet for NPA NXX which is area code and prefix and the # they gave me is suppose to be a landline in Bryan with a different zip.

A couple of people I know like the phone service very much, and love the savings over the Big Phone Companies. Despite the warnings online, I went ahead. Arranged my day to be here to sign for my package as required by Net10, and the phone back does not fit the phone. Called customer service while I was asked all the information that they SHOULD have in their data base regarding my order number, serial number, address, phone number, how to spell my name, etc. and it was difficult for us to understand each other. Finally, was told they would send out a replacement with a prepaid mailing envelope to return the other. However, the rep told me they could not expedite it, despite the fact that this was a quality control issue on Net10’s part. No extra minutes, nothing. Just making me feel like they are doing me a BIG FAVOR to allow me to return the phone postage paid! Now I can look forward to rearranging another day at home to wait for the new package. This fiasco took the better part of an hour, using cell phone minutes from my current service. Hopefully, I will be able to give more stars later, assuming the phone and service work as promised. As for now, I’m fuming.

My experience is consistent with that of Andy 7/1/2009 & 7/2/2009. I lost an entire day’s work trying to get their phone to work, AFTER they sent a new SIM card. They finally accepted that the phone is broken and agreed to take it back but they’re making ME pay the shipping even though THEY breached the contract. I’m innocent, but I’m screwed. NoEvil Net10? OK, I got the LG replacement phone and the service person got it activated in less then 10 minutes, including the 600 minute card which I got with my first phone. All this despite a language barrier of sorts. I give them 3 stars for now but may raise that in the future if all continues to go well. I have come to the conclusion that a defective first phone was the primary cause of this whole mess. Add to that, many of their service personnel just dont understand how to fix problems. If you get a phone in good working order and the proper sim, you probably will be in good shape. If not, you may have a service nightmare. P.S. it took only 2 minutes to set up my voicemail. I was suprised.

My phone’s bar disappeared on June 23rd, it is not July 8. I have called Net 10 Service 5 times. Each time they read a script of items I am to do. Each time they say it takes an 24-72 hours to activate and call back if it is not corrected. Each call it is with someone that speaks broken English that keeps asking if they can put you on hold for another 2 minutes. Each call lasts approx. 30 minutes. I have now been told that I have to drive 10.5 miles Northwest with the phone to activate it!!! I have had the phone in my area for over a year. This is a big joke!! I will never buy or recommend a Net10 phone again!!! Buy American, I learned my lesson. You get what you pay for.

Bought net 10 Nokia and only works if I lean up against the window and go into driveway to get a signal. Customer service said that the LG phone was an upgrade and had better reception, it is worst than the first phone. When you get close on minutes, I start receiving a lot of unknown calls from area codes across the country using my minutes or Do they sell phone numbers for solicitation calls?

I ordered my Net10 phone from their website. Then the nightmare began. After 5 e-mails and 5 phone calls, an order that was to take from 3-5 days took two weeks because their computer lost the order. It finally arrives and guess what, the wrong sim card. After 4 more e-mails and 3 phone calls the idiots finally send me the right card. But then I activate it and it does’nt give me the 300 minutes that was supposed to come with it. This time their service people wont answer my calls so I have e-mailed them yet again. To complicate things the service people are Indian or Pakistani and dont understand or speak English well at all. The one thing that they did do fast was charge my credit card for their lousy service. Maybe their phones work well (if you can get them started) but you can probably get better service from chimps.

Well, before I even get to use my new Net10 phone and minutes, this company has already put itself on my … well, the list. I ordered a phone with 300 minutes, and it comes with an additional 300-minute card. Seemed like a good deal for thirty bucks. And, ships next business day! Well, I ordered on a Sunday, should have shipped on Monday, and with three-day delivery, arrive non later than Friday. No phone arrived today (Friday), so I called customer service. Of course, it’s off shore some where and extremely difficult understanding the service reps. But after 25 minutes , the person said a phone would be shipped today and should arrive Monday. We’ll see. Morale(s) of this story: No deal is a good deal unless the goods are delivered; Buy at a store where you can walk out with the merchandise (or walk back with it when it doesn’t work). I’m only out thirty bucks, so next time I go to my local Verizon store, pay a little more , but speak to a real customer rep in my own neighborhood. I don’t know how much these companies save by moving service off shore, but they are making big mistake.RichRochester, NY

I had to go back to my old phone my flip phone I bought on line thru net 10 broke and they would not replace it. Because of course it was my fault, not a defect in the phone. Anyway, I went back to my old phone and now the 411 feature that I need the most doesn’t work. No big deal It’s been 4 months. I’ll just carry phone books for the places I plan on visiting this summer. Nothing else to do but wait on customer service to find the time to help me a 5 year customer. In my opinion, Net10 is the best value on cell phone service available. The no contract voice service is 10 cents a minute, period. I love that. Service wise Net10 has been about as good as any body else. Montana has no shortage of dead zones with any service. ‘Can you hear me now?’ ‘Hello? Hello??’ Net 10 works about as well as any.My primary complaint is that there are only two phones available in Montana, the Kyocera 126c and LG 200c. While the two provide fair functionality, they are both bottom end phones.Net10 retains my business simply because they are the best deal, but I want a better phone. I would pay for a better phone to use with Net10. I wish I could.

Simply the best prepaid service available. I have had the Samsung T201g since it became available and the size and sound quality are excellent. There is a reason why the coverage and call quality is so good. Net10 through Tracfone buys airtime from AT&T and T-Mobile for the majority of their markets. However, AT&T and T-Moble have separate tower networks for their postpaid and prepaid customers. With Net10 you have access to all of their towers! Customer service can be trying but if pose your question in a way a five year old can understand all your questions will be answered. Mine have. At 10 cents a minuet, a reliable phone with enough features for me, superior coverage, why waste your time looking at other prepaid plans? I would highly reccommend this phone and Net10 to anyone who asks.

The Spanish accent customer service person was aggravating to this home grown guy;however, the phone service has been great. We bought it for our son to have in case of emergencies. It’s a no frills that I would recommend for someone not wanting a contract.Adding minutes online is the way to go. Oh yeah, one downside. Be aware that they do send you junk email. We have an LG300 that had tech diff’s from the beginning. Had 2 sim cards switched out, another refurbed phone sent, have logged countly HOURS on phone with tech service — placed on hold and asked the same questions over and over — it is very difficult to get a competent service tech to quickly analyze and fix problems. My kid was away at camp with it and the phone stopped working! Finally, we got one good rep that took care of the problem (which was with their system!!!) but only after a tremendous amount of frustration.

I haven’t needed to use it. I used the internet to activate, kept my old AT&T number without any problems. I only use about 100 minutes a month, so appreciate the rollover minutes. I use the Easy Minutes plan for automatic renewal. This is as good or better than AT&T ever was. I had them about 10 years, but have retired, and don’t need all their extras they charge for and I won’t need to use. The camera is good, pictures are fine. Come on folks, appreciate this company.

Hi JaneDoe,400 min! I glad you are trying to save money by using prepaid, but 400 min. a month. That is about $40 per month for Net10!that is alot of min for a prepaid person. the general rule is: if you used less then 150 min. per month, then prepaid is a cheap option. you might be better off w/ a post paid plan. but you did say you didn’t want a contract, that cool =)But Net10 is horrible when it comes to transfering your number out and in of their company. I guess you are stuck with Net10 if you want to keep your number.I had such a hard time porting a number from a net10 to another Net10 phone!

Upon weighing the good vs the bad with Net 10- I concluded that the ‘good’ won. Where else can ya get a month to month cell phone with NO obligation and only have to buy as little as $30 worth of minutes every 3 months? I personally use about 400 min each month- but its still cheaper than other pre-paid cells. It WOULD be nice though if they hadnt of stopped selling the $15 cards!!!! That was just RIDICULOUS- as a LOT of people bought those when available!!! It was great to be able to ‘supplement’ those 150 minutes between 300 minute cards! But they likely did it because they were losing $ on them. But SO WHAT? Its better than going out of BUSINESS like so many companies are nowdays doing! And a lot of people went ELSEWHERE because of the end of the 150 minute cards!!! So it does not make any business sense at ALL to have done away with them!

Just LOSE the sorry Polyphonic ringtones already!!!And STANDARD options on that new line of phones should be SPEAKERPHONE, CALENDAR, OPTION OF DOWNLOADING RINGTONES, MULTIMEDIA, ETC FROM A-N-Y ONLINE WEBSITE, FASTER MORE PREDICTABLE TEXTING, MORE CLAMSHELL PHONE DESIGNS, AND OF COURSE…BRING BACK THE $15 PHONE CARDS!!!!

It usually takes about an hour to fix the issue. Just received a new sim card after waiting two weeks for a service I already paid for, phone was activated for two hours only to be turned off for lack of airtime(remember the unlimited plan?). Customer service had me on the telephone for an hour and a half only to tell me they were closing and call back tommorrow. I bought my wife a Net10 phone (the cheapest one) a couple of years back, and I have to say that it’s been great. I paid $30 for a phone with 300 minutes and only have to buy a new airtime card every couple of months and the minutes rollover every time I add new airtime. She gets reception as good as I have with my AT&T Razr. I’ve only called customer service once after we let her time expire a while back, but they were helpful and made sure that we didn’t lose any of her unused minutes or have to get a new number (which, by their policy, could have happened. I bought my mother the same phone and she’s had the same great service. I’ve been recommending Net10 to anyone that’s looking for a good, inexpensive cell phone. Also, Net10 doesn’t charge you a dollar on every day that you use the phone like other services do.

I’ve had net10 phones for about 2 years and I feel they are by far the best pay-as-you-go phone service out there! I’m on my 3rd phone now–I upgraded the phones when the stores ran specials on the higher-end phones, and customer service has been terrific whenever i’ve contacted them! NEVER EXPERIENCED ANY PROBLEMS IN ANY WAY WITH NET10! Do yourself a favor and go to net10 if you are in the maarket for an inexpensive, quality pay-as-you-go phone with solid customer service!

I had a Nokia phone for a year or so and had nothing but problems with it. It finally became an alarm clock until the battery could no longer be charged. I bought a Motorola Net10 and had no problems until the battery started going. A few days ago, I bought the Motorola Motorola em326g and absolutely love it. ONE problem. the internet browser button is VERY easily pushed and if you aren’t careful, you will loose minutes before you realize it. You also have to buy a micro sd card if you want to use the MP3 player function.

NET 10 IS SIMPLY THE BEST PREPAID OUT THERE. I BOUGHT LG300, YOU GET 300 MINUTES WITH PHONE, PLUS AN EXTRA 300 MINUTE CARD ALL FOR $30 ONLINE. THATS JUST A NICKEL PER MINUTE – NO OTHER COMPANY COMES CLOSE TO THIS PROMOTION. BTW, ALL YOU DO IS BUY SEVERAL PHONES THIS WAY AND JUST ACTIVATE WHEN NEEDED.

If you use 150-300 minutes a month, it’s hard to find a better deal. You can buy 150 mins online for $15 with prepaid plan. In my area, Central Florida (USA), service is good. If you can get you hands on a phone that works and are in a good service area it’s a really good deal. There are downsides. Customer service sucks. Refurbished phones (I bought quite a few for family and friends)are 50/50 chance don’t work. Getting phone cards to add minutes sometimes (but rarely) requires a 40 min call to customer service, that sucks. Porting current phone # to Net10 is difficult (read other reviews.Overall quality of service varies greatly from phone to phone and service area to service area. I recommend i you are interested, try getting their cheapest phone, try the service for awhile. Then upgrade your phone later if you like it. But, don’t try to port your # to the new phone. Save yourself the hassle and take the new #. You have been warned

I’m giving Net10 3 stars for now, due to an issue which they haven’t got back to me yet on. First, I bought the LG300 phone at Sam’s Club for $29.95 which includes 300 minutes. Nice basic phone – slightly plasticy, but come on, it’s $30.00. They set it up and activate it for you at Sam’s, so I didn’t have to go through all of the mess some have described here.Reception in my area (Atlanta) is actually excellent. I think here they piggyback their signal on AT&T, and I get 4-5 bars in most areas. The speaker reception on the phone is a little fuzzy (like someone is talking through a cloth on the other end) but I’ve been told by those on the other end my mic is ok and I come in clear to them. Buttons and screen are what I’d expect for a phone of this price range. My one issue: Minutes are ‘disappearing’ even when I don’t use the phone. As an example, Two days ago, it showed me as having 276 minutes left. A day later, 275, and the next day (today), my minutes have dropped to 270. This is with NO inbound OR outbound calls or text messages… zero activity. I’m still waiting to hear back from them regarding my email I sent on this. Now, I can *almost* understand losing a minute a day for inactivity ‘fees’ (almost), but, losing FIVE minutes in this last day for no activity? Um… no. If this is the norm I won’t be buying more minutes. I’ll just have to wait and see how they respond to this.So I don’t yet have a final verdict. I mean, the LG 300 phone is decent enough. The reception is ‘ok’. The signal strength is good. Disappearing minutes however, could be an issue. The jury is out.

i am on my fourth net10 phone in 2 years(i have a bad habit of throwing phones). the only reason i gave 4, not 5 stars, is that they have it set up to where the only way to download real ringtones is to buy from them and my free(refurbished)phone’s batt cover doesn’t stay on. otherwise i’ve always had perfect reception and love the prices. $30 lasts 6-7 weeks!

Was very happy with price of phone and of minutes. Customer service was also friendly and tried to be helpful. I am forced to buy a phone from another provider. My phone has five bars of service and will make calls, but when anyone tries to call me, my phone rings once and drops the call. Three hours of customer support turned up nothing. I’m buying a new phone tomorrow. I would like to think of this as an unbiased review. I am not bitter, just stating what happened.

When I decided to have a cellphone, I wanted a no frills and simple straightforward service without the usual contract traps and snares. Net10 provides just that and at a reasonable price. I have had Net10 now for four years and aside from the normal wear and tear on the Motorolla V171 and the short battery life, I have had no problems whatsoever. The IDD service is decent and my experiences with customer service are basically positive. Coverage is okay and I have not had any problems reaching land-lines in remote locations. On the whole I am pretty well pleased with the service and it works for me. I also tried a Verizon plan, but the reception and sound quality was so attrocious that I ditched that one at the earliest convenient moment.

Took a long time and they answer the phone in Spanish, ok, not terrible, they do speak english too, problem isit takes many many minutes to get set up, but they do get it done.Since then, I buy minutes on the internet, works just fine, very fast and they update quickly.Since then I bought my wife an LG, delivered it in 3 days, set it up online and it was fast and easy.Quality of phones and service is excellent, very pleased. We had T-Mobile for quite a while, it was very wimpy in the back of a supermarket, Net 10 works great, and the saving is enormous, very pleased and remember, if you are buy the phone or adding minutes, do it on line only, they,re good at that, forget talking to a customer service rep. they are fine but it is too time consuming, they repeat everything you tell them, its fine, but very time consuming and can be frustrating, do it onlline, its a really excellent deal if you want phone service without all the bells and whistle, highly recomment Net10

I am a net 10 customer, and I am mostly on the negative side with net10. The reception on My LG net10 phone works in dead zones and lightning and that is great, but I seem to have a problem with technical support. I spend more minutes trying to get through to technical support, than I would trying to get through to a Marbalo company during the 12:00 cigarette break. They put me on hold for nearly an hour, and then try to tell me to call again later because the reception is baad. This is rediculous. I cant even understand what they are saying, even though I pressed 1 for english. What I am trying to say is; maybe they need some improvents on Costumer Support. Also, the great reception is only thanks to LG… So, I am completely on the negative side with net10. Net10 phones do not have a hold feature, Which is suprising, because Net10 costumer support seems to have the ‘hold thing’ down pretty good. I guess I know why it is only a robot voice saying; ‘Your call is important to us…’

Most of the time if they don’t have coverage in a area my phone will have full bars. I have a really hard time believing all the negative reviews on here. Customer service has always been excellent when I’ve called. My husband and I have both upgraded phones with no problems. Our phones stay charged for about a week before we have to recharge it. Maybe if your using your phone alot you’d have to charge it everyday, but we’ve never had a problem with any of our phones from net10.I would never use another prepaid plan, Net10 is the cheapest, most reliable provider I’ve found.

I’ve had a net 10 phone for over 2 years, and I have had only 1 problem, which was quickly resolved with customer service. The best part is $.10/minute. I buy a 300 minute (or 60 days-whichever comes first) phone card from Walmart, and never use all the minutes before the 60 day time limit. Any unused minutes roll over when I activate a new card. I always get good reception. Calls are never dropped. You can’t beat the price. I don’t need lots of bells and whistles, just a reliable phone. It’s worked well from Louisiana to Colorado. I live in Montana where the only contract options are expensive Verizon and Alltel. In MT, Net10 runs on the CDMA network, and you can only choose between two (very cheap, crappy) phones. However, in the year I’ve had it the coverage here has been outstanding, and I have traveled to UT, CO, IN, and NY and had excellent coverage in all those states as well. All for $15/mo. I have had difficulty adding minutes from the phone and having it double-charge my credit card. Customer service was able to clear that up, and now I only buy prepaid cards from stores with no issues. So overall, Net10 has been a great choice.

I have been using Net 10 just over four years now and have had very good service from Net 10. Recently my phone was stolen from my jeep while parked in my driveway. I bought a new phone and notified Net 10. They deactivated the sim card so the phone could not be used or issued a new number. This was done efficiently, quickly, and to my satisfaction. I was so happy i got my same number back and that my stolen phone could not be used. My new phone was activated within five minutes and all is well. I have found that the Net 10 service is better than that of most other carriers in my area( N.E. OKLA.) I have tried a couple of different phone carriers in the past. But none could equal the service area Net 10 did. I believe i have found the most inexpensive and best phone service available. Thank You Net 10 for your outstanding commitment to service! It is difficult for me to understand the incessant whining and complaining in these comments. Because of he fact that I almost never text and use just about 150 minutes per month, my NET10 phone has been just great. I usually buy 300 minute cards at Target when they are on sale for $27.95 which reduces my service cost to a bit over 9.3 cents a minute. Since I also work for Target I get another 10% off of that total which means that I have a NET 8.3 phone.I have compared almost every other available pre-paid phone plan and NONE of them come close to the cost savings for me. Since I use the basic $29.95 free phone that comes with 300 minutes, a defective phone means NOTHING to me since a replacement with the SAME phone number is free with by buying additional minutes. I find it hard to believe in the truth of these stories of multiple phone failures for individuals. I have been using my basic LG phone for almost 7 months now and it is perfect.

Just got a net 10 phone on friday. So far…No problems porting my number..it was done within the hour. (5 stars)Instructions on what to do after you have had your number ported (1 star)…Instructions online pretty much force you to call customer service…they are not clear on what to do next after your number has been ported.Customer Service (3 stars). I have to agree with everyone on here as far as english speaking Reps but the one that helped me spoke english fairly well and was friendly and activated my phone without incident..but hey..yell at your local congressman to keep customer service jobs in the U.S. and stop shipping them overseas!!Ordering minutes cards (4 stars). Was pretty easy to do..what I wished though is that they would have longer service dates. I only use this phone as a backup and I will still have a lot of minutes left before the service time expires..I know they have rollover minutes now..but in order to keep them…you have to keep buying minutes along with the service time. I wished they would have a card that only extends service time without the minutes. The phone I bought (1 star). I purchased the LG 300..which was fine..but unfortuately..when my phone number was ported..you cannot transfer SIM card information from your old phone to your Net 10 phone. So..I had to manually enter all my phone contacts by hand.I have only had the phone for a few days but I would give the overall rating of 3 stars. But hey…when your dealing with a service that is only costing you 10 cents a minute..you aren’t going to get the bells and whistles.

Although the tech support can be hard to understand at times, I have never had any problems getting any difficulties resolved.
