Wow! There are good reviews but the bad outway the good. I saw a commercial at the gym for this company and thought let me do my homework before I purchase a phone. Has anyone tried the monthly service they offer? Did you have any problems with billing? I am a current Verizon user and am tired of paying so much for so little. I’d like to have unlimited calling and texting but don’t want to pay alot but want good/great service. Thanks Mike for your comments about calling the Corporate number and buying your phones from a local store.Has anyone else taken that advice? How has it worked for you?

@ ek Just got the LG800g upgraded from the 401g. Touchscreen is great, its a little small but the functionality is fine. Texting works great and like you said I really don’t use it to go on the internet every once in a while. Big screen for texting and pics. For the price a great phone. I also hear there is a nother touchscreen coming to Net10, I have to wait and see. If its bigger I might get that one. Overall I would recommend upgrading.

I’ve had Net 10 phones for about 6 years (upgraded a few years ago). It is a phone…nothing more. As a phone it works fine, but if you want other features, this won’t work for you. Bought my husband one for Christmas last year, and it took a few days around Christmas to resolve problems, but it’s fine now. We were lucky that we spoke with someone who was helpful and spoke English – that has NOT been the case for my sister and her husband. Would like to know if other people have upgraded to a phone that can access the internet or text easily? I’d consider upgrading again. The monthly cost is so reasonable if you’re not attached to your phone like a teenager. We always buy the minutes at Walmart or Walgreens or local stores, so have never had a problem adding minutes. Anyone have experience with the newer phones and access to internet/texting/gmail?

Their customer ‘service’ isn’t service at all. The call center is obviously outsourced to somewhere in South America and all the people I’ve spoken with had difficulty speaking and understanding English. Their service is a waste of time and do not care about problem resolution. One person even hung up on me after I asserted that they weren’t helping me resolve my issue. Next month I will be switching to another company!!!

After 5 months w/net 10 I have purchased a 750 min card.Every month I activate my phone,I go through 30 min. of my 750 min before they get my phone activated.I have tried to get service since 5/21 and got nowhere.they give me a new number.and activated my phone. Now it want let me call out saying I have to use a credit card to make a long distant call. The number is local.I call back for service, they tell me to call back tomorrow because the people that can help me are off for the day.Net 10 is the worse phone service I have ever used, and if I do get my phone working,it will be the last month I’ll never use them again.3days to activate a phone is unnessary.Kiss off after this month net10.

My husband purchased my Net 10 phone for a gift to replace my Trac phone. What a disappointment! Since day one 1 I have had nothing but problems. First, when I sent messages they were never received even though I was still charged minutes and the same happened as I tried re-send. I spent at least four hours trying to resolve this problem while speaking to at least 12 customer service people. I was transferred and transferred over and over again. Well, most of these people could not speak English well enough to help with this matter. I was promised so many things which never turned out to be true. I started out with 250 minutes and only after two weeks due to my problem ended up with 25 minutes. I had to beg for a small reimbursement hopefully that problem will be resolved. Today, my daughter, while visiting my Mom, sent me a photo of me as a child. At that time, I had 30 minutes left on my Net 10 phone but could not retrieve the photo but was charged over and over again. I had no choice but to call customer service technical support again. Well, after my husband and I worked with this gentlemen for over 45 minutes. We were told that we should walk outside in order to have better reception. What? After all that, I was reimbursed 15 minutes with an argument of him wanting to replace just 5 minutes. I am so sick and tired of these dealing with technicians that I feel only want to help the company and not the customer!!

I’ve stuck with Net10 for 3 years, but I’ve finally had enough. The phone service was fine, but customer service is awful. I had an automatic monthly fee charged to my credit card, but my phone wasn’t always updated, and I’ve had to spend (no lie) up to an hour or longer on the phone with them while they try to fix it. I was never given an explanation for why my phone wasn’t updated, and sometimes it would happen for a couple months in a row.

Net10 states they offer unlimited minutes. This isn’t so. Once you pay for the $50.00 card with is non refundable, you are given 50,000 minutes to use.I lost minutes just waiting for the phone to go onto the web. i called customer svc and ask what happens once i use all 50,000 minutes. I was informed I would have to purchase another card. Very miss leading. I will be leaving and going to straight talk

The service itself is fine, as is the phone (T401g). The outsourced customer service is every bit as bad as the other reviewers have said, but the Corporate number (800 876-5753) is much better. Also, try to avoid buying ANYTHING off the Net10 website, buy your phones and airtime at local stores instead. Bought a phone off the website, which came with a T-mobile SIM and didn’t work in my house. I replaced it with an identical phone that I bought from the local Walmart, that has an AT&T SIM and works much better. Also, I also had a problem with airtime bought on the website not showing up on my phone, but a call to the Corporate number got me a refund. Buy your airtime cards locally as well. I use the $25 monthly plan, have three of these phones, and plan to add a fourth, so that everyone on the family will have one. Just remember, if you call Customer Service at 877-TEN-CENT, that’s all the customer service is worth! 🙂 Use the corporate number instead.

Sending me a replacement phone now. Been with Tracfone for years & have no complaints other than their non-English speaking CSRs! The 2-year old LG600 out performs the new Samsung.

I was considering changing to a prepaid plan. I called Net 10 to see if I could keep my same cell phone #. I talked with 3 different customer reps, could barely speak English, and they could not answer my question. Why would anyone want to do business with untrained people. The plans may be good, but service is bad. I will stay with my current plan and be happy. Also, I have worked in the public over 40 years and excellent customer service is always imperative for a business.

Net10 was a good plan until they started cheating people out of their minutes. I upgraded from an LG600 clam shell to a Samsung T401G Slider. I had 657 minutes on the LG. For some reason I couldn’t activate my phone as usual online. The tech in India said the minutes would transfer over between 24 and 72 hours later. After several calls and months later I was still cheated out of my minutes. My Samsung phone was recently lost and now I’m looking for another prepaid provider. I’ve heard that they won’t give me the 500 minutes that I had on my phone before it was lost. I’ll only get a fraction of those minutes. I’m going to try to reactivate the old phone and see what the service is like before I commit to any new phone with Net10 or another provider. If they cheat me again, I’m gone.

this was the worst buy i ever made.. i bought one phone for my daughter only to have it not work in this area.. mind you i bought it rite down the street… they sent a replacement phone and it was fine… then we decided to upgrade her phone and got her another phone with more features (again rite down the street) and THAT phone wasnt able to be used in this area.. are you KIDDING ME!! so then they sent a replacement phone for that and the phone they sent was a cheap flip phone that was NOTHING at all comparable to the one we bought.. when i asked them why they said they sent the best phone for activation in this area.. i was NOT happy.. the phone she already had that we were UPGRADING was a better phone then the one they sent.. she wanted a keyboard..so we spent the $60 for a good phone with a keyboard… and they replace it with a flip phone and regular keys? Needless to say it turns out that only 2 of the phones that they offer are available to WORK in this area.. and we dont live out in the boonies.. its the biggest town in our state… for a company that advertises NATION WIDE COVERAGE and yet most of the phones dont seem to work? Im PRETTY sure that SOUTH DAKOTA is part of the NATION… we will never ever ever buy another Net 10 phone again.. False advertisement if you ask me… just saying….. oh and if i could have rated it lower then one star i would have….

I’ve had Net 10 for 4 years and I LOVE it! Never had a dropped call. Never been in an ‘out of service’ area. One time at my work when we experienced a blizzard and lost power for days my Net 10 phone was the ONLY phone that worked so everyone, including CEOs and supervisors, used it to notify family they were stranded at work.I believe the negative posts here are from people with some sort of an agenda to disparage a truly fabulous, money saving company.

At first I was skeptical about buying a net10 phone because of all the poor reviews but I went ahead and got one anyway. I am glad I did. First of all I never had any problems activating my phone and dealing with customer service. One time my phone got stolen so I called them up and they deactivated the phone with less than 10 minute wait time. When I got a new phone I called up CS and they transferred my serivce and airtime to my new phone with no problem at all. In fact it took no longer than maybe 15 minutes. They even gave more minutes on my phone than I had on my stolen phone.

Less than one star rating. If you avoid this company, for no other reason, let it be due to the customer DISservice. They are the most inept bunch of know nothings I’ve ever dealt with, anywhere (and that’s saying something). The first thing you have happen is that you’ll pay $20-$100 for a phone and minutes – THEN – you have to wait a week so we can get around to flicking the switch to activate your service. Even when you’re active the phone may not work because like a Microsoft product, you have no service because you must REBOOT the phone by turning it off and back on a couple of times. In other situations you’re informed to ‘Geev eet zom dime’ (wait a while), I guess so the magic fairies can come sprinkle something on it. The trouble is that they fly low and slow from FAR away. Do yourself a favor – buy from somewhere else or stick with the month-to-month think at a regular phone company. This bunch will either eventually get their act together or go under, which I’m betting the latter will happen soon.

less than one star based on customer service. Whoever came up with the idea to outsource these jobs to india should be shot. in the past three days I have been lied to, ripped off, and given the general runaround. No one seems to know what they are talking about. No one seems to know how to place a simple order for a sim card, or how to pronounce the state I live in. Idaho… not (eee-duh-how). Becouse I relied on net ten for my phone service, I am out of a job. I guess they cant hire me if they cant call me. Im allso out the seventy bucks that I paid for miniuts….(they say they will transfer them to a new phone but dont believe the lies). In general, ive told them where to take their phone and stick it. God, how may whiners here! I’ve had Net10 service for two years and they are so great!! The coverage is huge, the service is tops (no drop calls at all!), the plans are so economical and varied, and the phones have improved so much recently. I just upgraded my Samsung T401G for the LG900, and satisfied with both, although I like the 900 more. I also switched from the 900 minute plan ($60/90 days service) to the 750 minute monthly plan ($25/monthly). My boyfriend, a former Verizon slave for years, just got the LG800G and is thrilled by the phone, the service and the prices. OK, there may be a glitch here and there, but I don’t know of any company, prepaid or postpaid, that doesn’t have them. And for this price…c’mon, don’t be silly!!!!

So i called net10 and spent hours on the phone just so they can tell me they will send me a new phone. Then by the way they gave me some crappy codes to try an they were ones i could think of my self. So i got my new phone and i activated it. An hour later it says i have no service i can only make emergency calls. Then some guy i could hardly understand gives me all theses directions and i spent 3 1/2 hours just so they can say i need a new phone again. 1 week after i get this new phone i wanted to switch my old ringtones i bought from my previous phone to my new one and i spent 2 hours just for her to try some crazy tricks, but do most of them work NO! And guess what she tells me she cant do anithing. WOW! what a waste of money.

If it was possible to give 0 stars I would do it. My husband has a ported number and 3 days ago it was changed to a new number with no notification from Net10. I have spent countless hours on the phone (mostly on hold listening to their TOO LOUD music) waiting to get his number switched back. Yesterday we both got on the phone and my husband became irritated. The ‘customer service’ rep told us to hang up and the number would be changed in 15 minutes….. of course that didn’t happen. This is the third problem we’ve had with Net10 and each time I have had to spend HOURS and HOURS on the phone trying to get it fixed. Ironically, their phone service is great. It’s the customer service that’s the pits. My husband is leaving town tomorrow with a phone that might work or might not. When he gets home we’re switching carriers.

Not only ported my old number, and talk to CS, the gal was very helpful. I talked to CS because the phone I bought my son didn’t register for some reason. Yea it was a lot of typing but we’ve been using out phones for 6 months now, and have the same if not better service than I was getting before.I also got a phone that was almost identical to the one I had. Now the best part, since I don’t use my phone much I only pay 15 to 20 a month. And NO I don’t work for net10, I did my research, and I’m computer savvy I know the limitations of cell phones and I use my phone as a phone. I don’t surf with my phone, or try and watch tv or play games, phone just don’t do that very well and there are devices that do that much better than your phone ever will. So it’s a great deal if you use your cell phone as a phone.

I have had a very good experience with Net 10 (1 Samsung T401G) and Tracfone (3 different flipfones). The main advantage being low price, includes text messaging and no contract. I get better than average coverage, even when I travel, and no dropped calls. I purchase my airtime online with a cc and it’s always added instantly. I never buy large amounts because there’s no gaurantee and you might lose your phone or something. Which service (AT&T or T-mobile) you end up with and your location can make a difference on performance. Yes their CS needs to improve. Anyway you can’t beat the $ anywhere. If you’re a light user Tracfone is best. I don’t doubt many have had bad issues with them but I have not.

I am a longtime Net10 customer, and both my sons also have Net10 phones because it is so much cheaper than our ATT plan. Recently, though it has become much harder to get through to customer service to get them to solve a problem. It used to be hard to understand the polite but clueless CS reps; now it’s just hard to even get to talk to one.In addition, I bought a few phones from their website over the past few months, and now the website refuses my credit card. Other complaints on the web indicate that Net10 puts you on a ‘do not sell’ list if you buy multiple phones. WTH? Why would you not want to sell your products to a repeat customer? Anyway, for those of you who are steamed and know how expensive Verizon is, you may be able to activate an old Verizon phone with Page Plus service. Service reps advertise on eBay and other sites, and you can get 100 minutes for $10 with 120 service days. Worth trying it out if you are in their service area. I got my parents two PP phones, and they now have cell phone coverage for $30 per YEAR! (They only use a cell for emergencies, but it’s sure nice to have one when traveling!)So I’m hanging in there with Net10 until my minutes run out, but if they don’t take me off the blacklist so I can buy a couple more phones, they’re going to lose 3 customers come summer.Let your voice be heard, and vote with your dollar!

They are not competent enough to switch you over to a new phone. Twice I have lost all my minutes because they screwed something up and said I did not have any minutes or as many minutes as I really had. I really don’t know how this company stays in business. Well that it for me. This sis the second time they have taken over a 1000 minutes away from me. I’ve had NET10 for over year and it’s GREAT!! The coverage and quality of the calls couldn’t be better. When my brother’s AT&T ‘smart’ phone has no signal…this little NET10 phone has five bars! Recently I upgraded phones, in the process I needed to call customer service to complete the process. The customer service representative was very friendly and able solved the problem I had in less than 10 minutes. I’ve added minutes using airtime cards many times and it could not be any simpler. The airtime cards I purchased worked every time without a problem. The additional minutes / days are added to my phone in less than two minutes. Since NET10 uses multiple carries it likely has the best coverage of any cell phone out there. Why anyone continues to sign those long term contracts to be legally gouged by these other companies with overpricing and poor service is beyond me! If more people started using the Prepaid services we could force all cell phone companies to lower their prices!

My wife and I have been using Net10 for eighteen months now, having defected from Verizon, and we are extremely satisfied with Net10’s offering. For starters, Net10 offers great service, with deep coverage and excellent connections (they mainly use the AT&T and T-Mobile infrastructure), with affordable devices that admittedly could improve and in fact they are improving with their latest additions. The calling plans are varied and interchangeable allowing for customizing to one’s particular needs. Not only do they offer the ‘Ten Centes Per Minute’ airtime cards like the 300 Minutes/60 Service Days plan at $30, hence the name Net10, but they offer other plans that brings the per minute cost to less than seven cents, like the 900 Minutes/90 Service Days plan at $60. And that’s only with the Pay As You Go plans; in recent months they have added two attractive monthly plans: the 750 Minutes Monthly Plan at $25 and the Unlimited Monthly Plan at $50.Another Net10 advantage is that one can purchase airtime online, by phone or at tens of thousands of known retailers such as Walmart, K-Mart, Target, Radio Shack, Best Buy, Walgreens, CVS Pharmacy and many, many more throughout the nation. One area in which Net10 is lacking is in their customer service department. Although very polite, for the most part their reps have difficulties with the English language since they are located in different countries (India, Phillipines, Colombia) and have no technical knowledge whatsoever, working out of inpractical scripts. Luckily our experience ha sbeen a very positive one, not having to contact them but once, although I am familiar with them in calling for relatives that uses TracFone and SafeLink. (TracFone, SafeLink, Net10 and StraightTalk are all operated by TracFone Wireless, Inc., and they share their customer service infracstructure). Two good tips that I have learned by experience and in my research of this company: 1) If you speak Spanish always call them on the ‘Spanish line’ since that is their native language. (Spanish calls are routed to Colombia or Chile for the most part) and 2) Issues will be better handled contacting them through their Facebook page or at CorporateOffice@net10.com or call them at 1-800-876-5753.As I started saying, my wife and I are very happy with Net10. I use the LG620G and my wife uses the Samsung T401G, both for the last six months, and the devices are just great for their price.I suggest that readers would not be discouraged by the whiners that expect the quality and taste of fine wine for a price of a cheap beer. It just doesn’t work that way. This is a good, albeit budget-oriented service, and they fully live to those expectations with the only stated exception of their substandard customer service department. And for the record, other than being a satisfied customer, I have no connection or relationship with Net10, its owners or management team. I just understand that these are difficult economic times in which we all try to save money and Net10 offers just that but still offering a good product.

Compared to other plans, Net10 is excellent for the average use customer, which is most of us. I’ve been with Net10 for years. You simply can’t beat their low cost of service. My wife and I both have our own reasonably priced phones with monthly service plans of $15/month (with taxes $16.20). ($16.20 x 2)/ month for 2 phones. That’s it.

Net10 is the by far the worst prepaid phone out there. I have had my net10 phone for a few months. I once ordered a new sim card and it took 3 days for and 2 hours on the phone each day for the people to get my phone working. Each time they would tell me to turn my phone off and wait an hour. I also noticed one day that people were not getting my messages, so I tried to make a call and it said ‘your phone has been de-activated.’ This has happened to me twice. And their excuse was that there was something wrong with their system so some of the phones were disconnected. I was never reimbursed for the minutes I wasted, not realizing that my phone wasn’t working. So for all you out there wondering if net10 is great, please reconsider. Do not give these people your buisness, you will only be disappointed and have to spend more money on a new phone.

I agree with the other reviewers that this company should get a negative 5 review. I had this phone from August 10 to March 11 and started having troubles. It dropped my minutes and my days of service. Called the 877 number to some other country, they put minutes back on. A week later – same thing. Why? no adequate answer, but if it does it again, we’ll replace it. One week later – did it again. Call net10 Phillipines again, and they are going to send a new phone and yes, they say, i can transfer my old number as well as the minutes/days of service I lost. Got the new phone one week later. Spent three plus hours on the phone Friday (4/22) trying to get the minutes and days of service put on the new phone, and finally got that accomplished, only to discover that they had not transferred the old number. I called back Monday and explained. A woman went through her rote comments with me, told me to wait and hour and if it didn’t show my new (old) number to call back. I had to call back. A guy help me, and the old number did finally show up on the phone. Yea! but i went to make a call – only to discover my phone had been deactivated. What? I called the 877 number to non-American laborers AGAIN (6th call so far to get my phone working) and was told they would need to send me a new SIM card and I’d be without my phone for another seven days. NEVER AGAIN WILL I BUY A NET10 PHONE OR RECOMMEND IT TO ANYONE. in fact, I’ll be spreading the word to all Americans I can that they should avoid this company. The product is no good and the customer service is worse.

Net 10, I first purchased a Net 10 Motorola 408G Model cell phone, w/serial #012 113 000 653 946 on 11/15/2010, the reason being that you offered a $25 monthly plan of 750 minutes. Initially, I was impressed w/service of resolving technical problems, even though you do not have diverse technical support system (TS hereafter} meaning that because I am Hard of Hearing, there was many times that communication was difficult because of the language dialect difference of your TS representatives. Many problems arose w/ the Motorola 408G that could not be resolved w/ TS because of the phone malfunctions. On 2/3/2011 I purchased a new Net10 LG900G ‘smartphone’ for its Multimedia capabilities plus the advantages of Internet access and to download games, apps, ringtones, graphics and to see videos. Soon after I began having malfunction problems w/ the new LG900G. Specifically, on 3/4/2011 I contacted TS w/ the problem of the cell stating that I did’nt have ‘sufficient memory’. I then called TS and went through several different procedures to clear phone. After playing a bouncing ball w/ TS regarding this problem I did not prevail. Again on 3/14/2011 I contacted TS about when I use the Browser I keep getting the ‘insufficient memory’ message. TS again took me through the procedures of clearing ‘cache/cookie’ with no results. The TS rep then stated that the phone was ‘frozen’ and they would send me a replacement cell from Net10 plant. Approximately 2-3 days later I received a new LG900G cell phone. I immediately charged new cell and call for activation. Net10 activated the new cell and apply applicable minutes to cell. A few days later I go on Browser and had a few minor problems on my end about visiting certain websites regarding spelling but I got TS to walk me through it. Eventually I was able to visit Net10 mobile site and browse thru ringtones, graphics and other links. Later I bought a ringtone which was deducted from minutes and I also purchase a graphic that was deducted from minutes. Now, since the beginning of April 3/4, 2011, when I go on the Browser a note pops up that I don’t have ‘sufficient memory’ to proceed, I tried calling TS but the wait time has ben excessively long lately, On 4/14/2011 I finally reached TS and tell her the problem that Browser states I do not have ‘sufficient memory’, TS then directs me to remove battery, done. still not enough ‘memory’, I was then directed to clear both ‘cache/cookie’ and History in Browser. I proceeded and succeeded and now a note pops up that I can not make any purchase(s] without a credit/debit card. I then ask TS why when I have already previously made purchases with the deduction of minutes. Ultimately TS stated it cannot be done because I was not on the ‘monthly plan’ because when old cell ‘froze’ and new cell was activated and minutes applied to new cell it was not told that I was on a ‘monthly plan’, On 3/31/2011 I efilled w/ a $25/750 minutes airtime card as I have done since my initial purchase of Net10 cell phone and service, So again Net10, why can’t I purchase ringtones/graphics and download them w/o a credit/debit card as I previously did and also in accordance w/ your Terms and Conditions #5-Data services for Net10 pay as you go, -purchasing data services w/ your Net10 phone’s WAp Browser, -purchasing data services through the Internet at www.Net10.com. Please Net10 resolve this problem so that I will exactly know purchasing products with the deduction of minutes or MUST I use a credit/debit card. Net10 I have purchaed a $25/750 minutes monthly plan with the understanding that Net10 had No Contract, No Hidden Fees but according to TS this is not TRUE and Net10 is being DECEITFUL and Misleading in its advertising. I can be reached at 562 2180140 home or cell at 562 3080143

I have had Net10 for over 2 years now. I pay $15 a month for all the minutes I need. Where else can I get a cell phone for $15/MO? Customer service can be difficult, however I did manage to port a phone number into Net10 after some time on the phone. If you get the proper support person, you get decent support although understanding some of them can be difficult. This was much better than my first and only experience with AT&T, which took 8 hours on a land line phone to active a new cell phone. Net10 runs on the AT&T network under Tracphone. So it is basically the same coverage as AT&T. For me, that is good coverage. All the negative reviews here seem to be about customer service. If all you do is but a phone, activate it, and use the pre-paid cards then you will likely have a better experience. If you want to port a number in, or transfer SIMs between phones, or use a credit card for payment then you will likely see what the others are complaining about.

The customer service is terrible. My dog chewed on my net 10 phone so I bought another one to replace it. Went online to move my phone # over to the new phone along with my unlimited minutes. I had 14 days remaining also. Submitted all info and said I only had 10 minutes and if that wasn’t right to call customer service. Did that, on phone for over 35 minutes and kept getting put on hold. I don’t think it should take that long and I shouldn’t have to sit on the phone while it is being done. Rediculous. You can hear laughter and about 100 other people talking while your on the phone too. Very unprofessional, IMO. I liked the phone, does everything my Blackberry does but it does take more time to do things like texting… It has to deduct for everything you do which drives me crazy. I think after dealing with their customer service I’m going to have to go back to a 2 yr. contract with Verizon or AT&T which I hate signing up for another 2 years but I guess you get what you pay for in the end

I really am surprised at so many negative comments on Net10. I have been using this company for a whole year and have never had a problem. Even when calling customer service once, although they are truly lousy, they did resolve the issue to my satisfaction. As far as phone service goes, I have an excellent service and operating costs are so minimal. I started using the 900 minutes-90 service days plan for $60, but am now using the 750 minute monthly plan for just $25. The cell phone that I have (Samsung T201g) is very basic, but I will upgrade next month to the LG900 or the upcoming LG800. During this year, I have had a pleasant experience with Net10, great service, and much less expensive than my previous carrier (AT&T).

As far as support, for 30 min they couldn’t get their phone to work properly, constant cutouts in speech because they are in Indonesia and use the internet for their phones, and they say ‘WE DO NOT CALL CUSTOMERS BACK’ — prepare to waste a LOT of time the moment you need any service at all, and eventually you will.

I’m having the same Net10 website issues as TJ, only I’ve bought phones from the Net10 website before with no problem. Just last month, in fact. Now the site says there is a problem with your credit card and to re-enter your information if you think the card is okay, but every time you do, they charge your card for another phone! Now, these charges are supposedly only ‘holds’ and drop off after a couple of days because the order does not go through. (If the order really does go through, you will get an email with an order number, and a few days later they’ll email you the shipping tracking number just like a good e-business should.) But the fruitless cycle of ‘authorization problems with the credit card’ and re-entering the info or trying with another card can really mess up your credit card if you’re close to your limit. I tried to get help through their Facebook help site, and they eventually stopped replying. Then I tried through their own Net10 user forum. The response was something about the IP address on my computer and emptying the cache, cookies, etc. Really? Worked fine last month, and this month my IP address won’t let me order from the site? How about fixing the site so it works? After using Net10 phones for a couple of years, I give the phones 4 stars and customer service 1 star because it takes so long to resolve anything, even if you do get someone you can understand. But it’s a -1 star for this website issue and the indifference of the company as to their reputation or their customers’ frustration.

Considering my experience tonight, three stars is a bit much, but honestly it wasn’t the girl I spoke to’s fault. I had my phone stolen so I wanted to transfer my original number to a new phone. It’s usually an easy process. However, some schmuck put my OLD SIM CARD NUMBER into my NEW PHONE! I specifically asked her if she needed this new SIM card number, she said no, as long as she has my IMEI number that it would be automatic. What a load of CRAP. I was on the phone for 82 minutes in total of ONE phone call just to be given a ticket number and given an estimate of 1-2 days for them to fix this issue. I don’t trust that this will be fixed in 24-48 hours, as the original lady told me it would take no longer than three hours. Three hours is now turning into two days.I would give a low rating, but the lady I spoke to was really nice. She was kind of suffering with my bad mood and also suffering off of someone else’s mistake! Besides this issue I’ve never had a problem with service or anything else. In fact, they are giving me 30 days free again, since I didn’t use 25/30 days due to my phone being stolen. They try but sometimes their people are just uneducated. I feel bad for the girl I talked to. Good service, but it is true, you do get what you pay for! However, for me, a little aggravation with someone’s stupidity is worth $100 extra in my pocket every month. Let’s hope my phone works in 1-2 days and that I don’t have to change my number! 🙁 :/

0 stars…………. i bought a moto em 326g. it came with the wrong sim card in it. and would not recognize that headphones were plugged into it. they are sending me a new phone. i think? called customer service 8 times and spent 12+ hours on the phone with them. could not understand a thing they said. two things were clear…. i knew more than they did. and they thought i was an idiot. ‘ maybe you dont have the headphones plugged in right. maybe you are trying to use a 2.5 mm. are you sure it is 3.5 mm? are you sure they are headphones?’ i want my money back. the fun part of this is that i got my phone 3 days after i ordered it, but have to wait up to a week for a replacement. then call them back to get the 750 minute plan transfered to it. but was told by some of them that i could not transfer it , but that i could by others. I WILL USE THE MINUTES UP THEN GO WITH VIRGIN. thank you for your time.

Warning! Avoid NET10. Seems like a good deal, 10 cents a minute, but customer service is abysmal. Expect to waste an hour on the phone each month, first trying to add minutes online, and later when you have to call them because the online system can not handle the phone they sold you. Then when you upgrade to a new NET10 phone, expect to have no phone for 8 days because they will transfer service to your new phone, then tell you the new phone will be ready for use in 5 minutes. When it’s not, they will tell you they need to re-register the SIM card, which will take 24 to 48 hours. When you call to check on things 24 hours into the process, they will tell you to wait another 24 hours. After 48 hours, you will be told that you need a new SIM card, which will take three to five days. OK. 24 hours later, you check, and the order for the SIM card has been canceled. Restart the process, then wait 5 more days to have a working phone. Meanwhile, they hold your phone number and minutes hostage.

Just bought a net 10 after giving up a contract as it expired. Years ago I owned a net 10 twice, worked fine, straight up on how it works. But today in the store I purchased the net 10 it said free 300 minutes w/ANY net 10 upon activation. So I bought the cheapest phone after making sure it was not stipulated on buying a more costly phone but upon activation no free 300 minutes! Mistake I thought as net 10 has never been a problem for me. In giving net 10 the benefit of the doubt I called the service line. THEN I was told there are 2 differing plans but the sign in the store said no such thing as I told the service rep. Guess what? After I’m done w/the 210 minutes this net 10 phone will go flying in a river or lake. I will NEVER get a net 10 phone. I used to give good references to folks looking for a reasonable pay as you go phone. NOT anymore. I will tell all of this phony advertising. Clearly the sign said ANY not 2 differing plans. Ironic thing I would’ve bought the second option as it was reasobable but the lies are too much & net 10 seems to care less. So 210 minutes shouldn’t be that hard to use. I gave only 1 star but would not rate it that high but it was my lowest option. I wouldn’t rate it anything higher than a -10. GOODBYE as this is bogus.

am trying net 10 using an lg 900g phone with the 50 dollar ‘unlimited’ plan. signal is strong, phone is quite pleasant, my point of contention: the calling plan itself. advertised as an unlimited plan, i have found that this plan is nothing more than a plan that meters your every action. instead of 5 stars, 2 stars for false advertising.

wrongway right
