Warning! Avoid NET10. Seems like a good deal, 10 cents a minute, but customer service is abysmal. Expect to waste an hour on the phone each month, first trying to add minutes online, and later when you have to call them because the online system can not handle the phone they sold you. Then when you upgrade to a new NET10 phone, expect to have no phone for 8 days because they will transfer service to your new phone, then tell you the new phone will be ready for use in 5 minutes. When it’s not, they will tell you they need to re-register the SIM card, which will take 24 to 48 hours. When you call to check on things 24 hours into the process, they will tell you to wait another 24 hours. After 48 hours, you will be told that you need a new SIM card, which will take three to five days. OK. 24 hours later, you check, and the order for the SIM card has been canceled. Restart the process, then wait 5 more days to have a working phone. Meanwhile, they hold your phone number and minutes hostage.

I give the company 4 stars because we have 3 phones and only pay $65. We had 3 phones through verizon and were ripped off $200!! We only used about 2 minutes of our plan minutes – rediculous! Also, on net10 we have 2-3 bars living in the boonies vs 0-1 on verizon. We are happy to not have to pay so much & if we have a hard month we don’t have to pay cancellation fees. We were so fed up with verizon that we paid them the $800 in cancellation fee’s plus our last month of service. I will no go back to them again. WAY TOO MUCH MONEY for a phone. We decided to purchase a car for the price we paid a month on our cell plan, LOL. As far as net10 customers service, we have had to call them several times and they have always been very respectful and have fixed the problem in most cases. In other cases we just called back and got somebody that knew how to fix our problem. Best time to call is the wee morning hours, lol.

DO NOT BUY this product!!!!! Bate and switch advertising!!! This is fraudulent!!! 1 star is way too many stars for this company to receive. Bought this product with the intentions to keep my ORIGINAL trac phone #. Net10 has no one that will be accountable for their service….it has been 7 days with more than 15 hrs on the phone with their customer ‘DIS-SERVICE’ Dept….NO ONE can do what they claim…not even management! A manager even gave me a non-working call back # to contact him directly. You have to pull teeth to even get a name from the person that you are talking to! As of today, I still am being told another 24-48 hours and maybe they will have it straightened out! The advertising that Net10 uses is fraudulent in my opinion. There are absolutely no disclaimers stating that there is a possibility of not being able to port your phone #. Unfortunately, I am loosing business because my cell phone is the way for my customers to contact me and I still don’t have a working #. Maybe if we turn all of their phones off at Net10’s customer service dept we as customers might actually get the services from them that we pay to have provided to us!

If there was an option for a 0 star, that would be my rating for the minute manager. Why is it that I must listen to your prompts and have to pay for it. I had numerous dropped calls and had to pay full price for them, and STILL did not speak to anyone. This phone could easily be ranked with some of the best, but not if this treatment continues to occur to their customers.

My experience with Net10 has been a very positive one. I have a pretty nice phone (LG620G), a reliable service and a very inexpensive calling plan (900 minute card) with other options to choose from. Customer service is a bummer, although I have only had to call them a couple of times; they certainly can do much better in this department! I have heard that the most effective way to deal with issues is through their Facebook page, which one can access via their web page. One year with Net10, plus other family members who have been with them for years already, tells me that it is a good cell phone provider.

NO Customer service ! I bought a new phone on the promise I could transfer my service – number and minutes to the new phone. You simply cannot do it online , Call customer service and wait and wait and wait . Thank God I have speaker phone. after a week I still have not been able to transfer minutea and old number. Net 10 you lost my business

The only reason I give this phone 3 stars is because some of the more expensive phones are pretty nice and the calls and texts don’t cost much. But as most other viewers had said there costumer service SUCKS if you have little patience and don’t feel like waiting 2 hours on the phone for people who barley speak English I would not recommend this phone.

Have only had this phone for 3 days & totally regret buying into Net 10. Customer service is non-existent!!! Have tried multyiple times by phone & always get the same…’Due to high volume of calls they can not accept my call at this time’…AAAAWW!!! The first & foremost problem is that when I activated I was issued a LONG DISTANCE number!! Plus reception is poor for the phone I bought the Lg900. RUN AWAY from this company!! If you value your sanity!!!

Very, very, cost effective prepaid service for USA use. With low volume useage, a minute will cost you 6¢. If it wasn’t for the pi** poor customer service, I would say it is perfect for seniors.

The phones work great for about two years, then the service goes muffled, and stops recieving calls. But hey, two years of great prices are worth it! Besides, you basically only pay for the minutes when you buy a new phone, cause you have free minutes with every phone you get! Half the time, you can get a phone with 300 minutes for two times cheaper than a 300 minute card! You just have to deal with the process of transferring the phone number from your old phone to new one. But, a new phone works great, and you don’t have to worry about it wearing out.And I agree totally that it isn’t fair that your minutes get taken away when someone calls you, and that you can talk for two seconds, but an entire minute will be taken away. But, its also not fair when verizon charges you $40 in taxes and fees for a $40 subtotal, making your bill $80.And seeing people complain, I’ll say that Im not in any way connected with net 10, except as a customer. The customer service does suck, and they do need to get people who speak better English, but they’re pretty polite otherwise. If you have a problem, you just need to stand your ground. In conclusion, if you’re willing to deal with customer service for cheaper prices, then go for it. If not, then stick with providers like Verizon and get ripped off with every bill. 🙂

I love my Samsung phone but the Net10 service is the absolutely worst! About once a month my service stops existing and when I try to make a call it displays ’emergency calls only.’I have to spend at least an hour dealing with technical support issues. Their website is rarely able to route your complaints correctly to tech support. It takes 15 minutes of hold time, at best, to get a person from tech to answer your call (from a land line) and then another 20 minutes of pressing a multiple series of numbers to ‘reset’ the phone so that it’s usable again. I kept trying to use because it affordable for someone in my circumstance. Big mistake! Now I guess I’m out another $100 bucks. Thanks Net10!!!! I’m only disabled.

it seems as if the reps are not to the blame here, the fluency in english is not a problem as I am familiar with spanish and tagalog and can understand what they’re saying its the quality of the land connection they are using for their cs. Futhermore I couldnt blame the reps for not knowing information not provided to them by net10. Scam? not likely. I do however feel as if the reps are a bit insenstive to unhappy customers, who are DISRESPECTFUL and patience is the key. I use to be a rep for AT&T and currently have a Net10 fone. I would have to say that patience is the key in dealing with the cs reps, they want to help but lack the training,or are inexperienced enough to do so in most areas such as number porting and handling billing disputes. Ive only had a problem once, but had my reciepts for everything and the problem was resolved, I was thanked for my patience. Their network is by far the best but afterall YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR! My Advice: like anything else you buy KEEP YOUR RECEIPTS AND AIRTIME CARDS OR ANY OTHER PROOF OF PURCHASE be polite to someone trying to help YOU fix YOUR problem. Always if possible use a landline to inquire anything from them to avoid incurring airtime charges on your Net10 minutes, the quality of the call should also be much better. Net10’s data plan isnt even worth talking about, but the voice and texting are great. Just use common sense when you inquire about a net10 phone always as with any other phone check the service area, and reviews on the model of your phone. keep your reciepts, call from landline if possible. thats about it, since we know they really dont care to begin with dont start your call with negativity it’ll just make things worse put yourself in the reps shoes. ITS THE COMPANY NOT THE REP in MOST cases.

WOW! Now, my wife and I are also with Net10. Now we all have the $50 Unlimited Plan, and we still save a ton. Contract? Not in my fanily!

I had 525 minutes on my net 10 and 2 days left before expiration so I bought the 200 minutes card which says in plain english ‘unlimited carry over of minutes and service days’ and when I entered the pin,it automatically eraised the 525 minutes and left me with only 200. I will use all the minutes left and never will I use this Net 10 again. I will not recommend it to anyone. I will give it 1/2 star.

Love Net10! See a lot of complaints about customer service on here but it seems to get better the further you go down the list so they must be improving something, I hear that they offer CS from their facebook page now which is great. Personally I’ve never needed to call them, so all I see is the great signal quality and the low price

This site needs a -100 rating. They don’t even deservce one star. This is the WORST ‘customer service’ I’ve ever encountered. The reps are somewhere in South America, even though NET10 states they are headquartered in Miami. The reps can’t speak English. You cannot call customer service without taking an hour of very frustrating time trying to get a problem dealt with. CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT sounds good to me. Find out who owns this company and sue.

I talked to a lady who i did not understand AT ALL!!! and she put me on hold to talk to her ‘SUPERVISOR’ at least 10 times. I was transfered to her SUPERVISOR and he was harder to understand than her!!! He gave me code after code (which i repeated) and he BLAMED ME for them being WRONG! the codes changed my lock, and he kept repeating ‘in order for me to provide support, you must be on Code entry mode.’ I told him YOU ruined my phone YOU changed my lock YOU wasted my time AND YOU ARE GOING TO FIX IT!!!!!!!!!!! He then gave me an alternate code to unlock the phone and i had very little patience with him i was still more polite then i had just been. He then tried to reset my phone, i said it didnt work, AND HE SAID ‘OKAY’ CLICK (HE HUNG UP ON ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) HATE THIS COMPANY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Don’t try to send a picture message if you don’t have the unlimited plan!! So I’ve been charged 25 minutes and it still isn’t finished sending. It charges me for every minute it takes to send! When I first started with Net10, I loved it. Text messages were .30 per message. Now they charge me a full minute for every text. If you don’t buy the unlimited plan, it isn’t worth it!

Had purchased a new net10 phone and needed to have my old # transfered. Customer service said I needed a new SIM card, which took 2 weeks to receive. It didn’t work, so had to wait for another one. Spent hours w/customer service and they finally fixed it. Yesterday they deactivated my phone even though I still had 20 service days and 200 mins. They said it was an error and would have to send yet another SIM card. I got fed up and am now w/another company and will never use NET10 again or it’s affiliates.

Really surprised at how many people think net10 is sooo bad. Relative to how much people pay a month, i think net10 is great considering how well their phones are and the great plans they have. I used to be on a contract plan myself and I couldnt do the the 100 dollar a month bills anymore. I was really surprised how well my net10 was since it was prepaid.

I have to say that Net 10 is the worst company I’ve ever had to deal with. In January of 2011, I ordered two phones for my sons. A couple of days later, I received one phone and it wasn’t even the one I ordered. It had someone elses order info with it. I called them at least seven times since then. I was assured I would get a refund in 3-5 business days every time. It is now March 30 and as I type this my husband is on the phone with them because we still have not received our refund. They are a horrible company and I would NOT recommend them to anyone.

I went ahead and kept it,because bascially I want to have it when I’m going to and from work at night. Well, most of the time when I try to make a call it says service not available! So I’m not getting anymore mins. on it, it’s just a sorry excuse for a phone.

I had a LG600 phone and it worked fine but I wanted to upgrade to a Samsung T401G so I can access the web. I asked Net10 to xfer my minutes and phone number to the new phone. After 10 days and talking to 12 reps they can’t get it to work. They told me that my sim card was bad thus they sent me a new and and they still can’t get it working. The problem is that you do not get to talk to the same rep and each time they ask for the same information and they start the process all over. The latest is that I have to wait another 24 hours thus it would be 11 days and NO GUARANTEE that it would work. I am fed up with NET10/TRACFONE. I have over 540 mintues left on the phone and 2 service days left at this time which they have robbed me of 10 days thus far without any help. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND NET10 or TRACPHONE if you want to speak to a rep they are all foreign(INDIA) and I can not understand what they are saying half of the time. By the way I also had a Motorola phone that was bad from the day one when I purchased and they would not replace it. I have purchased four phones thus far and to of the four are bad.

God help you if you ever need to speak to their technical assistance personnel. They have a script to follow, period. They are not capable of understanding anything that is not spelled out in the script, or of coming up with any solutions on their own. They will continually pass you from one department to another, apparently in the hope you will eventually get tired and hang up. Be prepared to spend at least 1 hour on the phone if you intend to call in.

I read the reviews and it scared me into thinking this may not be the way to go…. however, I currently have one of the big guys and was looking for a less expensive alternative for my daughter. I purchased the LG 900 on line with Best Buy, as well as the air time. I picked it up and within 10 minutes the phone was working fine- Best Buy even offered to do the set up. I had no issues getting through or problems getting the phone going. The english was not the best but listen and follow the directions they are programed to get you up and running – one way. It does work. Honestly, you have to realize what you are getting….. unlimited phone, internet and text for 50$ per month – that why everyone is trying the service. It was not long ago that the customer service from the big guys was awful as well. How much customer service to you need for a pre paid phone in the amount of $50.00 per month. Either pay for it or kill it, pretty simple. The truth is one month and the phone is still less than the big guys. The service works, the phone works, and if you want all the bells and whistles – pay the big guys 200 per month – I have that service as well and honestly the bottom line is the phone service work the same.

Switched fro Virgin Mobile to Net10, big mistake. They ported my old cell phone number fine but I’ve been waiting almost 4 weeks for a new SIM card. Have spoken to their customer service department at least 5 or 6 times now and what a waste of time. Twice they said my SIM card shipment was cancelled for no apparent reason. They don’t seem to have a very good tracking system and I’m frustrated that nobody can give me any straight answers. All I need is to receive my SIM according to them however it’s taking forever for them to mail it and I have no idea why. Phone is still not working or active. Very frustrated with this company and service. Would highly not recommend if trying to port your old cell phone number from another carrier.

We were recommended Net10 when we arrived in the States from the UK as there was no contract to worry about. For me, that’s the only plus. The phones are rubbish, cheap plastic options – you CANNOT send international text messages. You CANNOT make international calls on the 750 minute plan. You get charged 1 MINUTE for every text message and the calling rate is doubled on the 750 minute plan. Customer Service is ridiculous – I have no idea what they are saying to me, not helped by my plastic cheap Net10 phone! This morning 450 minutes and 24 days have vanished from my phone and I cannot get anyone to help me. I registered on their online forum where someone from Net10 said they’d need to deal with me offline and would email me. So far no email and I can’t log back into the forum. I know of no one who has enjoyed their Net10 experience!!!

How about 8 months of excellent connections, fairly good phones (they can improve), low monthly expenditure, and no slaving contracts? That’s my experience with Net10, and I highly recommended to my family members. As a matter of fact some were Net10 customers before I was, and some have become customers since. Yes, the one lousy area is ‘customer service’, but compared to the benefits of Net10 one can live with it. I currently use the $60/900 Minute/60 Service Days card, but its good to know that one have a good range of options, from a 30 Day/200 Minute card ($20) to unlimited service ($50/monthly). As soon as my contract with AT&T expires (next month), I will be adding another Net10 phone with the unlimited service plan for my small landscaping business.

I give Net10 5 stars but I’ve only had the service for about 3 weeks. Activation was done easily online, loading minutes manually was a breeze and my son and I both love our new LG900 phones. I was a Verizon customer for nearly 10 years but their service is so expensive and having to sign up for a 2 year contract just to get an affordable phone is a ripoff. So far the service itself has been great, no dropped calls, etc. My son and I have done the $25 for 750 minutes of whatever, that’s $50 total. With Verizon we had 500 to share between the both of us and Verizon charged me $75 per month. I save $25 per month and have over twice the minutes. I did try to activate our phones through customer service but the connection was so bad I couldn’t understand what she was saying so I activated our phone online. I’m very very happy SO FAR and being on such a tight budget I feel that I can actually now afford to have a cellphone for both me and my son. If however it turns out to be a nightmare I certainly will not be returning to any contract provider!!!

The first two reps I spoke to didn’t know how to resolve it. We have been very satisfied N10 users for 3 years. After reading all the negative reviews we were hesitant to make ANY changes other than the provider. But, based on OUR prior satisfaction with N10 and Radioshack having the LG900G for a sweet $30(thru 3/26)we decided to go for it. The cool sales guy agreed to help me with the changeover (it was midweek and not busy at the time). For the first phone, he used the website and completed the process in about 10 minutes. He gave me the ticket number for follow up purposes and moved on to the second. The N10 system had trouble recognizing this phone number. After reentering the SN and phone number three times, he called N10. N10 answered immediately and the support tech proceeded to enter the required info for us. Four hours later this phone was back up just as they had indicated. The first phone using the online process took 2 days for the cutover. N10 promises 3-10 days. So, call the support desk if you want the change made sooner. Props to Radioshack, the sales guy was awesome! Dan at store #3615

Tried to talk to 3 diff ppl 1 of whom told me I could get my mins back & the other 2 told me they were gone. No hope of getting them back. They ‘don’t give refunds.’ I don’t want a refund. I just want my original mins that took 3 years to accumulate. I think they figured out that the original plan $15/mo for 150 mins was not making them any $. So now they offer monthly plans that are confusing & that don’t have roll over mins. And in small mousetype on the back they do state that. But I’ll even eat the $25 I paid for the card just due to my mistake but don’t tell me my mins ‘are gone’. There is a record of it & they do have the power to give them back to me. What idiot, if they have roll over mins on their phone, would give them up to get 750 for 30 days with no roll over? I emailed my complaint to them. Don’t expect an answer after seeing others’ results. Next stop FL BBB or I’ll dump them & bad mouth them to every person I can.

Please, understand my writing cause I’m foreigner…I bought Moto EM 326g, and then I tryed to activate it but I can’t activate it with a error message. So I called customer service and I ask how to activate this. And they said ‘this serial number can not be activated to your phone so we will send new phone to you’.However, I got Lg 200c modal!! this phone is much cheaper than mine and I can buy it in the wal-mart around our town.I would buy lg 200c modal in the wal mart if I wanted to use it!Actually I bought new Moto EM 326g from e-bay because our town wal-mart doen’t sell it.Customer service said that I have to return Moto EM 326g to us(customor service!) and use LG phone!I said I don’t wanna use LG phone because it is cheaper than mine and I can buy here, too. so I would like return it. They said that you can return Lg phone too but you should pay for shipment.I disagreed with this but they just hung up on my talking!!!So Do I have to return LG phone in my expence??This woman who talked to me ignored me. I felt!!!Please, take look at my situation and show me appropriate action.Thank you for talking time.

I just got my phone last week. It is an LG 900 and it works great except it would have been nice if Net 10 had not dumbed it down. I cannot sync it with Outlook. I was able to load my contacts on it by saving each contact as a V-Card and then moving it to the phone. The activation went pretty well though I did contact customer service to help me finish it up. The gentleman who helped me could speak English pretty well, but I had a little bit of a hard time hearing him because of the background noise from his end. Net 10 might consider a more sound proof atmosphere for their representatives. Before I wrote this I reviewed some of the other comments. I believe that when dealing with Net 10 I will have to be very careful in what I do. I can see that some of the complaints were actually caused by the phone owner and Net 10’s policies are rather non-forgiving. In other cases I would expect I would be as upset as the reviewers.

I have had Net10 for several years and it really is a NO-evil phone service. I do the 750 minutes for $25 dollars and it works great for me. I am on my 3rd phone as the first broke and the 2nd was eaten by my dog. It does take some time with customer service to get the replacement phones to work (you have to enter in a bunch of codes). I had NO trouble understanding the English of the reps. I have had several other cell phone services and Net10 is far and away my favorite and the price is great. My connection is not as strong in my town as Verizon, but as I still have a land line, it works fine as a second phone and it works well in any urban area.

After seeing the info-mercial this morning, I thought about switching from tmobile to net10, only because of the money. I’ve been with tmobile 6 years, (I have used EVERY other service out there, At & T, and verizon being the worst, in cust. service and prices)…I’ve had no problems with tmobile, but i could use the savings, since I also have 2 numbers. Now in net10’s ‘defense’, the numerous remarks here about ‘cant speak english’ is nothing but a bunch of bullsh*t, and racism. Tmobile, verizon, cable company and EVERY SINGLE other company in the country has people from other countries, so i dont know why people feel the need to mention it. It can be frustrating not to be able to understand someone though. When I call tmobile or any of the other companies I use, if I dont get someone who speaks good english, I simply (and politely) ask for someone ‘who speaks clear english, as I cannot understand you’. Works most of the time!Anyway, thanks for the numerous reviews, …I’m sticking with my 3G slide which I LOVE!…

I can not believe how good this phone is. Motorola (W408g). I dropped it in the sink full of water yesterday, dried it off, removed the battery, let the phone dry out, and reinstalled the battery, and the phone works fine.Activating this phone took all of 15 minutes. You can not beat the price of the service, or the price of the phones.I will buy another if this one ever stops working.

Zero stars. The 5 star ratings must be from company shills. I bought one of their ‘packages’ and only received the card for the airtime. I have been on the phone with them three times and have wasted over 2 hours trying to find out where the phone is. When they finally claimed to have sent a replacement the tracking number they gave me showed the phone being shipped to Florida. Trouble is, I live in New York.Their customer service people have heavy Indian/Pakistani accents, and the lines have a lot of echo with multiple conversations. You can’t understand a word they say.Based on what I see here, I’m staying with Verizon, and maybe will see if the BBB can get my money refunded.

Net 10 is THE worst service …….. intentionally. You will be listening to their stupid music while on hold for long, long periods of time. Then, someone answers that speaks in tongues or something. Overall, this service is obviously a scam. They wiped out the minutes on my phone 3 different times. Huge rip-off. They hope that you’ll just finally give up and …… they’ve made off with your money. Horrible customer service, in fact, ‘customer service’ in this context is an oxymoron. These people are shady at best and it seems incredibly obvious that they intentionally scam you and rip you off.

I only gave Net 10 1 Star because there’s no option to give them a zero or negative number. I can’t imagine a worse service in existence. They have wiped my minutes out of my phone 4 different times. After unbelievably long waiting times, I was able to finally get some minutes back from their non-english speaking service people but, not until at least 1 to 2 hours time had elapsed. The last two times, I just got cut off with no minutes added back. A cellular contract is now looking better than ever. Net 10 is possibly the best advertisement for the contract type cellular providers. If you’ve had as many problems, been scammed and cheated by Net 10 as numerous others, contact the Florida Better Business Bureau. They don’t have a lot of teeth, but at least they’re a start. Here’s the link;http://centralflorida.bbb.org/complaints/commoncomplaint.htmlGood luck and I DEFINITELY would not recommend Net 10 to anyone. Well, maybe my worst enemy.

I caled and asked for a refunf – They told me to contact my city hall – what? When pressed – they offered 20 add’l minutes – huh – I told them they are STEALING MONEY as there is no tax in NH and no tax authority to take any money sent. They said – sorry, nothing they can do.What a joke! Don’t use NET!) – THEY STEAL MONEY!!!!

I’ve never had much trouble with net 10, only minor things. They have always been pleasant when I call in and I’ve had no trouble adding minutes and a couple of times they gave 100 bonus minutes. I used them when I come up from the Caribbean and my only complaint is that when I tried to put minutes on my phone, it wouldn’t let me online and said I needed to call. Didn’t have time as was heading for the airport, then when I called I found out I needed a new sim. It should have told me on the website so I could have ordered it then.

DO NOT BUY!! This Net 10 has changed their plans. If you buy any card other than the card you just bought previously, you los all pre-paid minutes or service days you have already paid for. We had 365 service days buying 300 minute cards for a year. When preparing for a trip we bought a 750 minute card. It wiped out the 365 days and the remaining 150 minutes. We came back to find out we had 340 minutes and 2 days left and were told that if we buy anything but another 750 minute ‘Service Plan’ we would lose the 340 minutes. Talk about a bait and switch. They quit selling the 300 minute plans just to get rid of an over accumulation of service days and force customers to buy their newly printed brackets and void previously paid for services. Sure feel like I was robbed! Can anyone say.. CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT??!!

Took this off once WHY! WHO HAS SOMETHING TO HIDE? ANSWER ME THAT!!! – HAS THIS HAPPENED TO YOU?I recently went w/ this somewhat new ‘$25’ 750 minute plan. BEWARE as this is the biggest ripoff that ever came along! Oh yes you get the minutes alright and yes I knew that they only lasted a month and did NOT carry over , and that in itself is unfair! But what they don’t tell you is that if you don’t buy another 750 minutes ‘BEFORE’ the 30 day period is up then you not only loose your remaining minutes BUT ALSO they ‘wipe’ your entire phone information clean with no way to regain it! A friend and I both owned the same type of ‘NET 10’ phone and both ended up with the same irreparable problem. If you try and ad another 750 ($25) minute plan to your phone ‘after’ the 30 day period it just keep giving you the same ‘error message’ that ‘THE SYSTEM CANNOT BE REACHED PLEASE TRY AGAIN LATER’ but this never happens as you just keep getting the same message! I tried for days and never got it to work. So then on to the next nightmare, calling their ‘so called’ customer support. When I did this it took me through a series of automated stuff to ‘reactivate’ my phone in doing this it erased all of my information off my phone and issued me a NEW (different) phone number! Then when I tried to get hold of an actual person to try and save my info I waited on hold forever and then when I got an answer all I got was an open line and I could hear a bunch of people (foreigners by the way) talking in the background but no one answered me! It was like someone picked up the phone and just layed it on there desk and walked away and left it!So far I have not tried again and still no working phone as it said it would work with the new number in ‘Just a few minutes’ but that was a lie also as it never did! These people are impossible to deal with and I am going to move on as there has got to be something better?anyone wishing to contact me in this matter feel free to write me at:packrat297(‘at’sign goes here)yahoo.com

My latest elf punishment chamber experience with net 10 is receiving an email reminder that i had 10 service days left.It also said ‘Get 100 extra minutes’ when you add an ‘pay as you go’ airtime card. I did so, no 100 minutes were added.I talked to cust. care rep. & she said I need a promo code.I explained there wasn’t one.and she just kept repeating that she needs promo code. So, I sent an email to net 10 that they shouldn’t send emails like that if they are not gonna follow through. Very misleading! They replied that in order to get those minutes you have to have ‘3’ consecutive redemptions and after looking at my account I only have ‘1’. I replied with another email about what I thought about their excuses and they want me to call them but have to wait til morning their closed now.

I have used NET10 for several years and have been satisfied with the phones and service. However, my opinion has changed radically now that I have tried to cancel my service. After attempting by phone and email to contact NET10 and cancel monthly billing (I could not reach a live person), I was billed $57.00 to my credit card! I talked with several phone clerks including managers, and no amount of explanations or logic would convince them to refund $57 to my account. DO NOT allow NET10 to auto-bill your phone service! It is extremely difficult to discontinue service and billing! I was promised repeatedly from the phone clerks (all foreign-sounding), that I won’t be billed again next month…but I have no faith that they will do what they promise. I’ll let you know… BEWARE! Don’t get ripped off!

Okay…here is the promised update. I finally received a refund for my unpaid service(see below). I was fortunate to reach a phone representative who was courteous with a sense of right & wrong. The previous two phone clerks did NOT discontinue my service as they promised (I am not sure they spoke English!) So, the same caveats continue: DO NOT LET NET10 AUTO-BILL YOUR ACCOUNT! It can be quite difficult to disengage from their billing practices. I have raised their rating to 3 stars, because the actual cellphone operation has been quite good. Pray that you don’t have difficulties that require phone support, because NET10’s is TERRIBLE.

I think Net10 is okay,The service isn’t bad at all either. They mainly thought of Net10 as a more affordable way to have a cellphone and what not. And I do agree with Elle in VA their phones (well some) are very sturdy and last a while too. And the affordable monthly plans!! It is cool that they have affordable phones, minutes, and good service. For the readers out there Net 10 is a good start to having a affordable cellphone. And when your buying a cell phone there will be some compromise. Take the time to consider what company you want to go with, the pros and cons, the costs, phones, etc. Dont just buy the phone so fast then complain about it all the time. That aint gonna get you nowhere just take a day or two to consider. And when it comes to customer service…..well all i gotta say is yeah there will be crappy or better yet good customer service. In conclusion to my lecture Net 10 is a good start ;D dont forget not all Phone companies are perfect it is all about compromise amigos 😉

On 03/12/11 I tried reactivating my phone with a $25 / 750 minute card online and was instructed to wait up to an hour for minutes to be sent to phone. All looked good till next morning when I noticed minutes did not arrive. I called customer service and acordint to their fail proof system, I added those minutes to my phone on 03/08/11. How in the world did that happen if my phone has been inactive since 10/2010? I talked my way up from supervisor to manager and they all told me the same thing. To make a long story short, I lost $25 and alot of my time. I have been satisfied with their service till now. If you have this service and are happy, wait till your first airtime problem, you will drop them like a bad habit. I can not get my money back from store due to scratching off the security seal for the pin number. Once the card is purchased, it becomes NET10’s problem but NET10 refuses to help me out. My advise to you ‘BEWARE’ If it sounds too good to be true……it is.

I have been a net 10 customer for the last three years. Lately I renewed my minutes on line. I had an old phone that was disconnected over a year. Up until now, I haven’t had any problems. I called Net 10, and asked them nicely to reemburse my 50.00 that was taken out of my account. I spoke with someone, who pretty much wasted my time, and as she was ‘looking’ through my account, saw that it had been added to the old phone. I told her that the phone with the minutes was disconnected. She put me on hold again, and then she disconnected me. I then e-mailed the company. They were not helpful at all. I e-mailed them again to please reimburse my monies, they replied to call customer service. DUH!! If they would have read my first complaint, then they would know that I did do that!

Have been with Net 10 four years with two of their phones without a problem. We ordered a new phone because one phone began going straight to voice mail and unable to answer a call. No satisfaction from Net10 on resolving that problem after 2 calls, about 30 min. each. The new phone came disassembled and we could not get the back of the phone on. Called CS–they disconnected me after a transfer and about 40min. Called CS to activate our new taped-up phone, waiting 45 min. but they deactivated our old phone while we were talking and would not let us transfer our phone #. We taped the back on and used the phone, but ordered another new phone. We called to activate: Day 1–estimated 10 min. wait turned into 55 min. wait and hung up. Day 2: called back, waited 45 min. and spent 45 minutes with him back and forth with his supervision, then transferred me to another dept. That didn’t go well either. End result, phone # not transferred, new phone had a new #, could not make nor receive calls. Called back,20 min wait (happy dance), and 30 min. working with woman with good English, polite, apologetic, and said old phone had not been updated causing the problem, was going to transfer me, but then had me hold and checked back with me several times to keep holding, but then disconnect!I immediately called back 35 min. wait, saying 3rd time trying today to get this problem resolved–please help me. By now, I didn’t have to repeat all the Serial #, SIM#, and he shuffled between me and the supervision. He had me remove battery and put back and then phone would make and receive calls, but still didn’t have my old phone #. He said it was not available, I said yes it is, it is on my old phone which has not been de-activated. He apologized and said it was not possible. I gave up. So ridiculous to have 2 new phone #’s within 3 weeks when we still have our ‘old’ new taped up phone working with our old number that couldn’t be assigned elsewhere. Plus the hours of time used off my 3rd Net10 phone. Pretty bad when they can’t give you a phone with a back that fits, no wonder it was disassembled. After seeing these many complaints, so sad they can’t get these issues resolved. I never had trouble before now.

Don’t see how you can beat a deal like that! This little LG300G has five signal bars of strength when my brother’s Blackberry only has two bars. The quality has been excellent. To add minutes I use the website and have never had a problem. The minutes show up on the phone almost instantly. Net 10 deserves at the very least negative 10 stars. I have had the week from hell trying to get the Samsung R355C set up. I tried to move my phone number from tracfone to Net 10. What a joke! I gave up and had my hubby work at it and it is work. He was on the phone for days trying to make the thing work. They gave us different phonenumbers to try, different techies, eight tedious hours on our land line with people who spoke heavily accented English from an obviously texted script and a sciatic flare up from all the waiting around we had to do. The end result was a person hanging up on me because I demanded my money back. If wishes come true Net 10 will be out of business in no time. If you think you want to use Net 10, hit yourself in the head with a sledgehammer. It will be more satisfying.

So I called the customer service number, after 1.3 hours they finally got my old number on my new phone, however my new phone still would not work, niether would my husbands phone, but old phone still worked, asked to speak with supervisor as this was unacceptable, put me on hold then hung up on me. Called back went through all of this again, to make a long story short after 4 hours on phone neither of us have a working phone, they say they are sending out new sim cards for both, maybe it willmake them work maybe not, put on hold countless times, could not understand the customer service person most of the time. Flat out lied to me 2x, then when asked what they were going to do to make this right and reimburse me for the days lost, they said they could not do anything. They could not even tell me for sure when the sim cards would arrive, and if when inserted we would lose all the minuets and days we had on the two phone, my new phone shows 1300 min, my husbands shows over 2000, am in the retail business and this is the poorest customer service I have ever had anywhere. I even asked for an address and name of someone I could write to to let them know about the poor customer service and I was told they were not allowed to give out that information. I even asked them since this was their error on the site, to please send out the SIM cards on overnight and they said that they can not do that either. Between the 2 phones we are losing 16 days of service, if the new SIM cards when placed in the phones cause us to lose the minutes we have that is a major dollar amount. I will expect to be compensated for the days and minutes. If I had not just bought a new phone and if we did not have all the minutes that we do, I would have just never dealt with your company again. I actually do not expect to hear from anyone on this after the treatment last night. In addition I was told that 2 emails would be sent giving me the Ticket numbers for both Sim Cards, as of 3 minuets ago, neither email has been sent. Another poor example of a lack of customer service and follow through. There are other companies we can deal with, we chose yours, in hind sight that appears to be a serious mistake on our part. Last night I did get pretty hot with all the different people I spoke with, but after 4 hours and no real resolution I expect you can understand why. Are you gonna make this right I doubt it, will I hear back from you I doubt it. I have no faith in your company at the present time. Just in case your wondering I am 57 years old, so not a hotheaded teenager. It asked for a star rating too bad there is not one that is minus 10 cause that is what I would rate your service last night.

I have been a Net 10 user for 5 years. I select 300 min every 60 days as I don’t use more than that. I have had other plans through other companies and was less happy with them. I have had two issues with Net 10 the first 3 years ago took them a week to verify and correct. The second was yesterday and was handled within 25 minutes. I travel with this phone into low coverage zones like the Grand Canyon etc. There was the same coverage as a friend who pays more for another carrier with a 2yr plan. For inexpensive service this is a great way to go.

I am squirting blood out of my ears!!! Net10 used to be awesome before they outsourced customer service to non english speaking countries. Any small thing needed now takes 2 hours or more to do because they have to repeat what they say ten times or more before I can understand the heavy accent. I have to hang up and try again and again. It is beyond frustrating. I am now looking for a company that doesn’t outsource work. Any idea’s? This what we’ve done to ourselves america…always wanting it cheap. Well here’s what greed has created. Junk products and no one actually living and working in usa. Thanks greedy people.

I’ve been with them for 3 years, but unfortunately they’re getting bad. My credit card was charged for 4 airtime cards when I only ordered 1. They finally reversed the 3 bad charges but it took 2 HOURS!! on the phone. Now I’m trying to transfer my time to a new NET10 phone from my old one and I’ve been on hold for 45 minutes! This is normal now! Sucks!…

I have been on hold for 1hr 11mn I was told by a recording that the wait was 15mn. I have yet to speak with someone. My current phone with Tmobile was deactivated by my total surprised today by Net 10 while my Net 10 phone account is ‘pending’. I was given no warning that it would be disconnected today. No one has the means to reach me apart from using my personal email. I am very disappointed with this service so far. I am hoping to reach someone soon.

Zero is the real number. My experience is, if nothing goes wrong, they’re fine. As soon as something goes wrong, they are completely useless.Bought the phone in Jersey, worked ok for 2.5 years. Then moved to Florida. Wanted to change number. They sent a new sim card. It broke the phone, which would no longer hang up when the caller hung up if you don’t answer a call. Have to shut it off. 7 hours on the phone with them in 4 different calls, no solution and they would not provide another, properly working phone. AND NOW, the automatic update for the easy minute plan has stopped working. The only reason I’m still with them is that I have accumulated hundreds of dollars worth of minutes. It looks like the BBB (for which I have little hope) and small claims court are the only answers.

Terrible customer service. No one speaks English. Was on hold for over a half hour and trasferred to wrong departments over and over. They were all very rude the whole process was a waste of time. I remember why I got rid of my cell phone 3 years ago. Guess I’m staying that way because I can’t get my phone activated.

If you ever feel like Net10 is giving you the run around over any kind of issue, please file a complaint with the Florida State Better Business Bureau. I did this after hours and hours of useless customer service calls, and after being told it was fixed and to call back in 2 days! Great lie to get us to waster our paid for service days. I filed my complaint with the BBB and finally got the results I expected! Oh, if you look at Tracfone/Net10’s record on the BBB, you will see they have an excellent record. Why? Because they fix every complaint as requested! Be sure to do this and you will get better service from this reasonably priced company!

Terrible customer service ! These people don’t understand english . And all they give you is a scripted response . It took me 2 weeks to resolve a very simple issue . If you have a problem with your service they are terrible about getting it resolved in a timely manner. Metro PCS is a better choice.

I don’t think their customer service people speak English very well and now they are charging for calls when all you get is a busy signal. I am done with these greedy losers.

Some people seem to have horror stories about customer service and I cannot speak for them. My phone has worked great and I’m really shocked by the service quality that I recieved for the price that I am paying. It’s not a high end service but it’s perfect for what I need.

Got a Net10 phone over the weekend and went online to port my number. Monday morning my old phone stopped working, but new phone didn’t work yet. Called customer service, was on hold for a minute or two, got someone who spoke English with a slight accent, she had me punch in some codes, and the phone worked. It all took 5 minutes. No problem. So far so good.
