GO WITH ANOTHER PROVIDER!! You get what you pay for. They have roaming fees, therefore they disconnect your service before your billing date if you’ve racked up your bill. I got this for my niece and it’s been SO inconvenient. I decided to go with them because the salesperson assured me it was better than other prepaid providers. Dealing with all the problems that we’ve endured has consumed a lot of time and energy. NO MORE PAGE PLUS FOR US!

I like PP. The price is right for what I need. I’ve had T Mobile and US Cellular, both were unsatisfactory. Cust serv was poor with them. What really pisses me off with these other companies are all the BS fees and charges that turn a $39.95 plan into a $56 dollar a month bill. What are all these additional charges?!? With PP $29.95 is $29.95. I notice that a lot of my calls get dropped though. Someone posted something about 30 seconds? That seems right. Anybody understand what thats about?

Try calling to activate a phone or get tech support and your shopping comparison will be over. Look… if it takes 15-20 calls into their main line to “Activate” a phone… good luck if you have a problem! Every time I call I get the “All circuits are busy” message. That’s pathetic. I’ve heard the excuse too many times that they cannot keep up with activations. Once the service works, its good for reception, etc.. But they don’t even have enough phone lines available to service their customers… and they’re a phone service provider. Come on! PPC Sucks.

I activated from a store. They gave me a number to call for customer service after a few hours. I have not been able to reach customer service to complete the activation for over a week. I sent a support request through their website and they still have not gotten back to me. I am left without any phone service at all.

I just became a PP user and I’m disappointed! The actual phone service is fine and worth the money. However, the hassle of trying to get through to a customer service rep is ridiculous. I had multiple issues setting it up online too, as their site kept having problems. This obviously is hard when they say you need to activate through a rep the first time (and we don’t have any stores in the area I’m at, otherwise I would have just gone in). If you never need any help online or through calling them, it is a great service.

Look people, I have been using Pageplus for the last 6 years. I have never had a problem with them. Billing was great, prices were right. Well about 2 years ago I became a dealer for PP. That was nice but until the unlimited plan came out I have activated maybe 50 phones total. Now all of the sudden I have people standing in line just to have me activate the phone for them. Most of them have the Blackberries, Palms, or ENV’s. Everything was going awesome until this Sunday when I found out that they will not be activating any more Palms or Blackberries. This kind of shocked me. Why the hell would they cut it off if they were making such a great money? The guy that is complaining about them not activating brand new phones? That was their policy before and still is. Verizon does not allow them to do that any longer. People were going into wallmart and similar stores and buying phones for next to nothing, and then going to PP. Verizon started to loos a whole lot of money. This is why they cut off that as well.People you need to understand one thing: Verizon will not let some small company from Ohio push them around.

WARNING it takes 30 minutes to get client support. They will hang up on you if your problem is difficult for them to solve quickly. Which nothing really should be!! About the only thing that works well is the money leaving your account. They resell Verizon so the quality is good when it works, but what good is a phone that doesn’t work???

It is true, Page Plus has cut off activations of Blackberry and any Palm phone. They also cut off any activation of a “brand” new Verizon Wireless phone. Now as this reject below me states it made PPC “unique” I on the other hand don’t think taht’s what made them unique. PPC has and always will be a company that has dealt with “refurbished” phones, you actually think Verizon is going to allow PPC to take the majorty of there Blackberry users, that is where they make there money. AND CUSTOMER SERICE IS A VERY LONG WAIT……BECAUSE YOU HAVE A BUNCH OF MORONS CALLING THAT DO NO RESEARCH BEFORE THEY PURCHASE THE PRODUCT.I understand why they reps seem so annoyed because of the type of customer they are speaking to the majority of the time.I use unlimited talk n text and it is wonderful, and most people never use there brain and say I WONDER WHY THEY CALL IT UNLIMITED TALK N TEXT… not unlimited everything. That means you get a extra 20mb of data on a PPC approved device.

I found Page Plus to be problematic with regard to its cancellation of minutes policy. I had $108.00 of prepaid minutes remaining, and my phone calls were summarily shut off without ANY notice whatsoever from the company. They said they changed their policy about giving first-time minutes expiration credit, and just TOOK my hard earned money entrusted to them. They are so cheap that they didn’t even put an auto notice on my web account on their website, which would have cost them nothing. I feel strongly that they should have done that with the same notification system they used to remind themselves to cancel my my service and take my cash. I am really disappointed in the lack of customer service. This company really shoots itself in the foot by such action because I was just about to re-up my minutes, and was a repeat customer until this happened. Their one-way stance, inflexibility, and outright meanness says they don’t want not do they care about losing my business. They might win some, but they just lost one.

I hadn’t any idea who, what, when, where when it came to PP. It was my ex who had gotten a phone from the co, as he bought the phone from a neighborhood mexican store. Once my ex left to Mexico, he let me keep the phone, which I love the unlimited calling and texting by the way. Any other service other than PP, when texting to Mexico, you’re charged at least 10, 12 cent per text, outgoing or incoming. With PP, so not the case, I am texting to Mexico at least 20, 30 times a day, each day. I love the service. The one and only thing I do not like are your choices of the phones that are available, these phones are ancient, pre-historic! I even had an LG-Chocolate phone, the bill was so high, we couldnt keep up with the payments, ultimately, the serivce had to be shut off, therefore, I still had the LG-Chocolate, but before I even heard about PP, I tossed the LG in the trash, now, after reading up on PP, and finding out I could have activated my old phone, I am now kicking myself in the rear. At the end of the day, I love PP and its services. I was by CS to not get a PP phone in a white box, as they aren’t always dependable with sending and receiving picture messages or FW anything, to always get a PP phone in the plastic packaging. I am very pleased with PP. I bought one in a white box, couldnt do any as above, so I called CS, true about the long waiting period, but they are very patient. They even sent me a new phone which was able to do what I originally wanted. I returned the old phone back, but for more than a month, they keep telling me the phone I returned to them STILL had not arrived. Nonetheless, I love PP’s serivces. All I pay for is $39.99. No more, no less and I get the services I pay for.

Great price, but worst customer service of any company I have ever dealt with. IF you can get a customer service rep on the phone it will take minimum 30 minutes no matter what time you call. Then usually a MINIMUM 15 minutes more to solve your issue or answer your question. If your time is not valuable, and you don’t mind lot of frustration, they are a fine. Otherwise, 1 STAR!

First we aren’t power users of cell/data phones – we use <1200 minutes a month and maybe 50 text messages at the mostWell my experience has been pretty good – first we tried them out with a pay as you go plan several months ago to test what we were thinking of getting into.. I talked with customer service no problem and they took care of my little blip (my fault) very quickly.. We had no other issues with the pay as you go plan so we converted our Verizon plan (ported our current number and used current phone) all over the internet to PP and it was done in a couple of hours with one hiccup and I EMAILED customer service and the hiccup was corrected within an hour of my email! This service will be saving us $20/month (talk-n-text 1200 auto pay) – and it is on Verizon’s backbone so the coverage is great.

I am extremely happy with my PP service! I get great service, it’s cheap, and I used my unlocked phone from Verizon! Yeah, customer service may be a little slow…but I have never had a good customer service experience with a cell phone company. So, I’d rather pay 30 bucks a month and have to wait a couple of minutes before I can talk to someone than paying 60+ bucks a month for the same service and the same wait time!

just got my vx8300 yesterday. true its a older phone. but im simple. i dont use phone alot so 30 bucks (1200 min, 1200 text, 50 mb data will last me 2 months. i only check my email on phone or myspace. i just switched from straight talk. which had same verizon network, the phones were cheap garbage. no ex. memory. no games. horrible, horrible browser. and only 30 mb data. plus it only used 1x for internet which is why i swithced to pageplus. they not only use verizon but use the evdo network. 10 times faster than 1x. i live in helena, Mt and verizon is pretty much all you can get here, which is good. B4 i moved here from washington i had virgin mob. great reception but pay as oyu go was crap. people are dumb. go ahead and pay your 99.99 a month for unlimited. if your on a phone that much to require unlimited everything, you need a life. get an xbox-lol. thankyou page plus. i will also be putting a new phone with them the new gzone rock. what other provider lets you buy whatever phone you want(mostly) and use it on their network– exactly. 5 stars baby.

Page Plus Cellular has the most horrible customer service I have ever experienced. It sounds as though they owners of this company set up a call center in the Slums of Ohio. The representatives have bad attitudes, and they are not very informative. They have no phone etiquette, what so ever. One representative was chewing gum in my ear, and typing so slow as if she was typing with one finger. She was not listening she kept asking the me to repeat what I already told her. I do not want to give any stars, there is no option for zero stars. My phone broke after 2 weeks I was told I would receive a new phone in three to five business days and that has yet to happen. This company should be ashamed of itself. Where did you get those people from, they sound like they all are having a bad day, and they act as if they are doing you a favor. If it wasn’t for customers they would not have a job. This company is AWFUL!!!

I am a Page Plus Dealer & I DO have to say, b/c PP is a smaller company, its always better to deal with a local dealer do get better service. Before I became a dealer, I was too a customer. And I LOVE the service & Signal I get with PP!! So thats why I became a dealer.. Anyways, as far as I can tell, we can activate ANY CDMA phone, but NO 3G service phone, for ex: No Cingular/ATT, or T-Mobile etc. We CAN do Verizon Phones, & most all other CDMA phones. I have not had 1 Verizon Phone fail activation! I Activated my Motorola Krave ZN4 on PP, which is a touch screen smartphone & it works GREAT! I also LOVE the signal that I get EVERYWHERE with my PP service! Its runs completely off of Verizon’s Cell Towers, so you are basically getting a MUCH CHEAPER cell service, through Verizon! And our Unlimted Monthly Plan is only $39.99, and I have NEVER been charged all those “Fees” that I have been charged with other cell carriers, prepaid or contract. I have also yet, to be charged tax or any other extra fees! Its never went a cent above $39.99 per month! EVER! And I love the service & you cannot find a better service/signal, or cheaper price on ANY other Unlimited cell plan. Cricket used to be the only “Unlimited” service available out there. And as much as I used them, (for years) their service SUCKED! I will never leave PP & its the reason I decided to be PP Dealer! Yes, the 1800 for customer service takes forever SOMETIMES, but not always.. I have gotten through within 2 mins. before. Just DO NOT call during peak hours. Try to call early morning or early evening. Its just like any other CS! But, they dont have as many people working for their CS as you would see at ATT.. So give em’ a break as they try to build up their business. Think about it, all businesses start out small & grow.. But, anyways there are alot of people out there charging a whole lotta $’s to port or activate your old phone to PP! Anywhere between $10 & up to like $30 I think I have seen.. I want to let u guys know that I will do it for anyone that wants to try Page Plus Cellular, for absolutely FREE!! I would just like for everyone to see what PP is about before they blast on em’! Cuz they have the best pre-aid service & the cheapest I have ever used! I used Boost Mobile b4 now, and they always lost a signal in the weirdest places & never kept a signal in the middle of town! So I dropped them, even though they had a good Unlimited Plan at $50 something per month. So reply to this post if u wanna free hook-up with Page Plus, Oh & the person that asked earlier about why their phone balance was going down even though they put $40 on their phone, did you buy the Unlimited Page Plus Activation Card? If you didn’t, you can fix this by calling customer service. If you want to add the Unlimited Plan of $39.99 to your phone, you have to buy the unlimited card the first time you buy the minutes for your phone. This act’s as its activation, then you can buy regular cards after that. Also, remember that you have to shut your phone off, during activation. I don’t know why, but you have to do this! And once you do that & follow these simple instructions (which will also be on your card & on the PP website) for activating the Unlimited Plan, you shouldn’t have any other problems EVER! For the people that are downing Page Plus so badly, either you haven’t tried the service but are going by hear-say or you didn’t follow simple instructions on your refill cards. See, I have read alot of the comments posted things that wouldn’t even be related to PP so they must not have ever really tried the service. And for the others that are complaining about the CS line, I do understand your pain, as I too have to call the same # as you when I have a CS issue with a customer’s phone. But, its well worth the money you pay for an awesome signal & lower priced monthly plan that most! Thanks!!

I have to admit I was concerned about signing up for this service but the 1200/1200/50 fit our needs very well. We have four cell phones and so far I have ported two of them to Page Plus. Both times the porting went well. Not perfect but they were both complete within an hour. One was from AT&T and the other from Metro PCS. I had to call PP customer service on both twice. Each time I called I held about 20 minutes. But when connected they handled my request professionally and completely.

I dealt with PP before. A friend did as well. He said he liked it as it was cheap. I did not. Customer Service may be good once you get them, but is poor if you have to wait a long time on the line and such. I found a better solution locally, but you have to live in the Cincinnati/Dayton, Ohio area to do it. I went to a Cincinnati Bell store and got their iWireless prepay. Rates are awesome, and customer service is great in store or on phone. They even knew how to deal with an unlocked” GSM phone. And I can roam in the US as well via AT&T network when out of the area. too easy.”

UPDATE from yesterday: called at 8:55am got a hold of customer service at 9:21am YOU CALL THIS SERVICE” nevertheless having a background in programming I decided that I would never get in touch with these people again I would probe their setup from them to see what you are paying “well here the scoop” you are paying a whole lot more then the .10 cent they claim so read on…. You are charged (deducted from your card/balance on the 24th of each month) .50 cents every month for their service =(5:00 min.) everytime you send or receive a text message 0.25 cents =(3:00 min.) everytime you call out even if it’s for .01 seconds(they charge a flat 1:00 min. for every call) =(0.10 cent)…. so we made 31 calls and did not answer 2 text messages 17 of 1.00 min. calls and 14-calls @69:00 min. total and the 100 min. are gone. This makes this plan about .37 cent a min. per call made or answered. Just trying to educate the public and myself about these HIGH-PRICED PLANS that are masked as AFFORDABLE. We are searching for other options maybe the unlimited plan but we will research it first and let everyone know. (it seems Canada and the rest of the world enjoys much better rates and service then here in the US)”

I have been trying to call their customer service number multiple times a day for several days, yet all I get is a fast busy signal. All I want to know if the phones that are on ebay like the Moto Q, that say are for Page Plus, will actually work for Page plus. Can anyone help me out here?

If you need basic cell phone service, this play is great. I got a prepaid verizon phone for 20 bucks at Wally World, followed the instructions on how to activate it under PagePlus. the 1200 minute talk n text plan for 29 bucks is a deal. However, still a few kinks, currently can’t tell minute balance via the phone, have to check the web page.

Make sure not to pay early. Try using auto pay with a credit or debit card, it makes it easier to pay for the plan. Also call customer service and explain what happen and they’ll make sure to fix the problem. Thats what I did and now I’m all set.

Those Verizon phones may not work and Page Plus cannot guarantee them. You must purchase a Page Plus phone for them to guarantee that everything works.

Happy with the price just a little irrate about not being able to speak to a csr after waithing for 15 to 20 mminutes they finally answer and are very helpful. And I am also mad because they dont offer ringbacktones or any other features that other wireless service providers have to offer! I have had the service since 12-15-1009 and I hardly ever haev had dropped calls so that’s a definite PLUS! I guess that I wil have to keep this phone until more phones are offered or if a VZW phone will work better!!

I used VerizonWireless for some 20 years before recently switching to Straight Talk, which will only allow the use of Straight Talk phones, most of which lack the features of most Verizon phones. The service, so far, is identical to that of Verizon. The customer service, however, isn’t so great (unless you’re fluent in Spanish), so I’m considering switching to Page Plus, whose customer service is located in Ohio. Since PP, along with Straight Talk, uses the Verizon network, I’m assuming that the service will also be top notch. PP is adding CS reps in an attempt to keep up with it’s ever growing customer base. The wait time to be connected is admittedly abysmal right now, but PP is attempting to address that problem. And best of all, there’s no outrageous contract to contend with. PP is certainly worth a try, when compared with Verizon Wireless, AT&T, or Sprint, espcially since the latter two offer substandard service. What good is a fancy phone that won’t work when and where you need it?

What you can do is buy a $20 pre-paid verizon wireless phone or any verizon phone new or used, and then call Pageplus customer service to change your ESN from your old phone to the new one.

I am now faced with a flip phone that I purchased during the month of November 2009 and now it is January 2010 and the phone is completely broken. I cannot see anything on the screen, and not only that, I cannot make or receive any calls. What more must I complain about to get some help around here? Not to mention, I am not really a complainer anyways!

I ported my phone and number over to PP a month ago from verizon. Got tired of verizons crappy agents not knowing what they were doing and messing up the account EVERY MONTH!. I have had no problems with page plus and I found out that you can get ringtones and wallpapers by sending them from your email account to your cell number @ mypixmessages.com. Hope this helps everyone. However take into account it does use data but not a lot. Ive sent like 30 or 40 ringtones to myself and my kids and I still have 10mb left.

I’ve been with them for a month, but I’ve had no trouble. No dropped calls, good signal and was able to put a Prepaid Verizon phone on my plan. The website isn’t always up and running properly, but it’s no big deal. For everyone complaining about customer service, get over it. Most prepaid service sucks. The price is right; and for me, the network works great. No complaints here.

Signed up for unlimited talk and text on Dec. 31, 2009. I now have no service. My online account shows standard service but my receipt does not. I am finding that the local store who sells you the service, in my case Boost, has no idea how to either enter the data correctly online to make certain you have the correct service, or they are lacking customer service skills such as showing concern, showing they have experience in dealing with customer issues and troubleshooting. You get what you pay for. Either you are near the correct towers or not. You are either dealing with morons or not. You either have a good compatible phone or not. You either know what you are truly getting into or not. Deal with people who are knowledgeable with the service they are trying to sell you. Ask around first. I am not a happy camper with Page Plus. And yes, it’s easier to pull teeth than to call customer service’s toll free number and wait or be told all circuits are busy. BE CAREFUL with the local franchises. Some are ok, some are not worth a turd. Trust me, I know. I’m in customer service myself providing land line service to thousands of customers.

I just ported my number to PagePlus from their website. It took less than 15 min, faster than I expected. I then signed up for an accout and saw I had a $6.00 balance free to use! When I’ve used up the $6, I’ll sign up for the 1200min/text deal. Hopefully they’ll be no problems. But so far so good!

Page plus has good service for the most part…but I made the mistake of switching from unlimited to 1200. Never again. The plan is a rip off. It uses minutes that i didn’t use. They keep tellin me its data being used, but the account shows some crazy number with 943 minutes used. Their customer service sucks!!!. I guess I have mixed feelings about the service.

???? Can’t review this service as don’t have yet. Am looking at both PP, and Straight Talk. Saw from Tony he can’t get videos. I haven’t used Internet on ANY phone yet, as always needed minutes for talking :-), but as need new phone, thought would be nice for YouTube, etc. (Have dial-up at home)PLEASE, does anyone have opinion on either company re: this? OR, do I just need to forget about the internet w/ the cheap providers ?? I have read so many reviews, know about bad CS, etc. w/ both. And for the record, my CS exp. w/ Virgin M, bad too. T-mobile was the best, but also .20 a min….Appreciate any help, thx.

Foushee…what happenned is the “service books” on your blackberry dropped off, which causes data not to work…pix messaging goes through the same server as text so as long as its a verizon pearl, you should be good…for everyone else complaining about service, look up the verizon prepaid service map, as page plus uses those towers only, not all of them…hope this helps those who are expecting the same coverage as regular verizon users…

i bought a pp phone and it had dropped calls on the second or third day of having it yet i was sold on the fact that it was using “verzion towers” blah blah and was not reciveving all my calls – (how i know this is) it would show a voicemail msg sign after someone attempted to call…) then i changed over to a blackberry 8330 and same problems and the company who sold it to me {United wireless} said it was my blackberry (yet they have one with pp too and a more upgraded blackberry and theres works w/ no problems –go figure..) i paid a DAY EARLY THAN MY BILL and yess i discovered the same problems as i have read on this site that after yes waiting for ever to get so called CUSTOMER SERVICE, that it when towards data usgae and minutes when i never used data that internet was cool–for like one hour when i first got my blackberry now i just see it as this plan is good for BASIC PHONES and for thos who are “authorized dealers” to cheat the system and make theirs have great features and rest of us have just what they sell

I am using my old Verizon LG env2 with pageplus and am able to talk, txt, pic txt with absolutely no problem at all…I am not able to use the web, but I’m not complaining because everything else is so great! ALSO…I was with Cricket and was not able to set up facebook/myspace txt alerts ect, but have been able to with pageplus! I have no problems with pageplus voicemail…but have read a few reviews where people have and if that’s the case you can use youmail with this service (not with Cricket though!!) it is a free voicemail service and you can setup a different greeting for each caller!! www.youmail.com

I get more (unlimited talk & txt $39.95) with pp. I know its hard to reach cust serv, you have to wait about 10 to 20 minutes but it is worth it once you talk with cust serv. the number I use is 877-359-6695. prompt #4 I had a problem setting up my voice mail they was able to assist me with that,#737 then follow the prompts.I give pp five stars!!!!

PagePlus has the worst customer service I have experienced ANYWHERE! Last night I decided to go back to Sprint (which has excellent customer support) and to port my number back. I started the process first thing this morning (at 8 a.m. on 1/7/2010). At the time of this writing, it is after 2:00 p.m. on 1/7/2010, and I still do not have the use of my phone although PagePlus had told the agent at the other carrier it would be done by 11:00 a.m. CST–which was two hours ago. Now neither I nor the technician from the other carrier can get anyone to answer at PagePlus. Don’t let me forget to tell you that I was on hold for PagePlus for 19 minutes. When someone finally answered, she placed me right back into the queue for THE SAME DEPARTMENT, and I had to hold a long time again. Still the problem was not resolved.

if you have the Unlimited Talk & Text plan, and you pay earlier than your due date – they will apply your money to data and minutes and NOT the unlimited plan. So you will be out of $40 in a day! Ask me how I know. SCAM! Even though you are signed up as the Unlimited plan AND you purchased an Unlimited Plan PIN – they STILL apply it to a per minute plan and 15 cents per txt message.

Whatever you do, make sure you have a lot of spare time on your hands should you need customer service for help in setting up your account, or for any other reason, at all.I was asked to be put on hold while the rep went to ask a question, and he never came back after 49 minutes on hold. We were not disconnected because I watched for that. The minutes with this company may be a little cheaper, but the frustration of dealing with the lack of good customer service is not worth it at all. I cannot even set up an online account to add minutes without the assistance of a rep who knows what they are doing. Please take the time to read all reviews before deciding to go with this company. It has become quite obvious that you get what you pay for, and that is a company too cheap to hire well-trained reps and enough of them to accommodate their customers.

Prices are great. I had an old verizon phone lying around so I activated it on PPC. My Browser timed out while making the order so I had to call customer service. I must say it was the WORST Customer Service Experience Ever! 20+ minute wait, a rude CSR named David, Little to No Help. Seems a good, budget cellular if you never need support.Seems emailing support is the best option as a tier 1 rep will contact you but it takes 2 days.
