Page Plus is a great service. If you have a phone just lying around you can use that to add your service or if anyone you know has a phone they aren’t using anymore you can also use that.A friend gave me her Verizon Raza phone and i’m using it with Page Plus.

I was thinking about going from verizon to page plus. I already have a straight talk phone for my grand daughter and it works great. The big difference between the 2 I think is roaming, straight talk has no roaming or other charges. I think I will stick with straight talk.

I like the idea of a good prepayed plan. There CS is the worst I have ever experienced with any bussiness. The phones they offer are garbage. They have reconditioned printed on the sticker under the battery. My wifes phone only lasted 6 weeks. I was unable to get Page Plus to make it right. I will be more then happy to pay a few dollors more a month to get decent service.

I am currently an Authorized Dealer and offer the plan. ANyone who has any problems, can get intouch with me and Ill will help them as best as I can. With regards to reception, it normally depends on the phone you are using. I am getting clear service/reception with Internet with my own Blackberry 8830.

I plan on porting my number from verizon to PPC for the 1200/1200 min and text plan. Should I do this online or call customer service and have them do it. Also how long does porting my number take? I might buy a tracfone temporary just as a back up phone if the porting takes to long. I cant wait for the new year so I can get out of my contract with The Biggest Crooks on The Herizon”.”

Steve, PPC uses the Verizon Network – PERIOD. If you are having a problem with a handset supplied by PPC, call them. If there is an issue with your billing? Call them. Couple of things: (1) pretty sure they state that if you want to change your plan, you need to call them (from a different phone) to have it done properly. (2)Sounds like your handset’s programming is incorrect (like, PPC reset your part of your account to fix the TNT1200 problem, and you need to dial *22890/*22891 to reprogram your phone), or the hardware itself is going bad.

You get what you pay for whith page plus, please people do not pay your bill early. If you do and you use anything your 39.95 will no longer go towards your due bill, I had to find out hard way. Thats why you pay a flat rate of 39.95 because customer service is 0.00

I’ve been using PPC for a year now and I have absolutely no complaints. I purchased a used, ex-Verizon Moto Q smartphone from an independent dealer, activated it on PPC, and hacked the phone to access Verizon’s ‘secret’ free QNC (Quick Net Connect) data network. 😉 I use the PPC for voice and text and the data for internet surfing, email and mapping. (Granted, QNC is slow, but I can’t complain since it’s free!) It’s the perfect combo for me. I’m not on any plan, just regular paygo service (I’m not a heavy user, but I used a smartphone because I wanted a good mobile internet experience). Pageplus seems to have the longest expiration and the best rates of any prepaid MVNO (ironically, better than their parent network!), and their coverage is great since it’s on Verizon. I have not had to call customer service…yet… and judging from the feedback from some other users I’m frankly a bit concerned if/when that day should come. However everyone’s experiences are different, and I’ll reserve judgment until such time. Let’s face it, customer “service” is rarely a festival of fun, with ANY company. Overall, with my experience to date I feel I can honestly give Pageplus a full 5 stars.

As a 2 month customer, I must say that I am very disappointed in the lack of “customer service” I have the unlimited plan for $39.95. I made my payment on the 18th of this month (my payment is due on the 19th)I made a 411 call, so when I made that payment, it didn’t get processed until 2 days later. Well instead of them advising me that the $1.25 charge was due NOW, the deducted it from my payment I made for my unlimited plan so now that means there is only have $38.25 for my payment. Instead of PP notifiying me of this (possibly thru a text) they now switched me to a “MINUTE” plan which is $.10 per minute, UNBEKNOWNST to me, everytime I talk I was being charged $.10 per minute, until I tried to use my phone and it didn’t work….all of this because of a $1.25 call. I’m sooooooo out done with this Company

Great service for talk and text and limited Internet. I have a blackberry storm and I use less then the 50 mb with the plan. I cant watch videos, but I can use the maping software and read the news. Also never had a problem getting a call or text from any of my friends. You can not bet the price. I think that Page plus is the best. I had some long waits with customer service, but if you use the call tags on the internet you will get a person calling you in less then 24 hours.

All the people giving bad reviews and saying Cricket is better must be promoting for Cricket. Cricket DOES NOT work everywhere. I tried to see if Cricket was available in my area code 33414 and low and behold it is not. So please stop bashing PPC because you are promoting another. PPC does work everywhere Verizon works. Also PPC allows you to bring in any phone from Verizon network does Cricket allow that?

I do like the service when it occurs the way it should. I have had repeated errors that have caused me much inconvenience (being without service for days, charged incorrectly and the need to call customer service and not be able to get through even to their queue). In November I was charged for someone elses charge which I followed proper procedures and first called PPC and was told I did not have a charge the amount. I then filed a dispute with my credit card company. Once PPC got the dispute on their end their response was to disconnect my phone. I found this crazy. They charged my account in error and then cancel my service when I file the report of such error. What I found most unsettling was the extremely poor customer service I received when I had to call about this problem. I was calm and tried to explain the error to the CSR supervisor who told me that because I was not accepting what she was telling me, she was going to disconnect the call which she proceeded to do. Again, this is all a result of an error on their part. I called back and explained I would like to speak with a supervisor and have this error corrected or I would be forced to file a complaint with the FCC. This seemed to get me taken more seriously and was treated better on the phone, however, ultimately the rep did not correct the problem. She acknowledged the problem was their fault and said she would try to get it corrected but it was still not corrected the next day (keep in mind, I paid for a service which I had not been receiving for 2 days now while I had to keep calling to work to get it corrected). I had to make another call the next day which again, the rep acknowledged their error and finally resolved it. I found it very frustrating that the majority of time I tried to reach their CS department I would not get through because all circuits are busy and I realize it is due to the large volume of calls they were experiencing (most likely both new customers and complaint calls)and their apparent too small and not properly trained staff but through all this very frustrating and insulting experience not once was I offered an apology for my inconvenience which was caused by their errors. At one time I did recommend this company to many friends and family but now I will not do so. This company has too many kinks to figure out before they should be recommended over the many more reliable service providers.

I wonder how Verizon let this company use its name. Only one good thing about it is the network of course under Verizon, connection is A+. However, the system is primitive, and customer service is poor and horrible, they call you names Like one by the name of Adams told a customer to apply common sense. If you pay befoe the due date you loose your money. I never heard of such service in America. Some supervisors don’t even speak English well. I would suggest you call customer service and try to ask some questions before you subscribe. price is low, but you risk high blood pressure with their customer service.

Was with Verizon for 1 1/2 years…until today. Paid $279/mo for 1 1/2 years. Sick of them, and found Page Plus. Weary of PPC’s Wikipedia write up, sketchy business practices, tax evaders, and other weird Middle Eastern stuff, but wanted to save the huge difference in my monthly bill. Also hate contracts that Verizon has. Nickel dime you and make you pay coming and going. Paid $155 to get out of my MiFi (WiFi) Verizon contract and $95 for the 2 year contract. Ouch, but in no time will make up for it, IF these guys are legit. PPC’s cust service and switching over was a nightmare, but money talks, even if their customer service recording doesn’t! Would like a better data plan (used 140,782kb in a month with Verizon unlimited, but cs said they are working on it…even so, it’d be another $60/mo on top of $40, so STILL cheaper than $279/mo! Glad to see Verizon get some competition on their own network.

I took it back after talking to a customer service rep who was very helpful. I got the Samsung Smooth and it activated with no problems. I am able to talk, text and surf the web. I was to by the CSR not to do anything to the phone until I was talking to them. It’s been only a week but I haven’t had any problems. Have been very happy with the page plus unlimited minutes and text plan for 39.95 I figure that I’m actually paying maybe like $5 less than that since the $39.95 includes all federal charges and taxes. Switched from verizon and have saved a fortune, while still keeping the same great reception. Don’t really use the internet on the phone much, so issues people are having with it really don’t effect me. I am starting off with a verizon prepaid phone I got at target for $20, but it was such a pain to get it going that I would not recommend this route. You are better off buying one of the refurbs off off the pageplus website. If you like to talk to customer service alot, this is not the phone for you since their wait times (atleast 4 months ago) are pretty bad. This doesn’t bother me since most of my calls to customer service were for billing disputes, but unlimited minutes makes this a moot point.

Hi folks. I have a Motorola Android phone and service through Verizon…and Pay $100 a month. I was insterested in saving some money so I tried contacting Page Plus. My problem is I want to try out this Page Plus service on my old LG phone, so I have ben calling their customer service number for 2 days straight at differnt times and it is always busy. I must have placed over 25 calls in the past 2 days. Finally at 7pm PST Dec 3rd it Rang. I got excited. But then…I sat on hold for 14 minutes listening to the recording and then my gut feeling said to stay away and look somewhere else. Pricing is low yes. But I can’t even speak with a customer service rep. All I wanted to ask them was how large my home calling area is…as I hear that these areas can be small and if you venture out then your are Roaming. I just wanted to know how many miles I could drive before I was billed 59cents a minute for Roaming. I think I will look at Simple Mobile or Straight Talk through Walmart. If you have an unlocked GSM phone from ATT or TMobile then try Simple Mobile. Verizon phones are CDMA and will not work with Simple Mobile’s network..They offer $45 Month unlimimited Talk and Text while Straight Talk is even lower..but you have to use one of their 6 lower end phones. The search continues!

Subscribed to their service four weeks ago. The phone activated fine, but when I tried to use it I got a recording telling me, “to call collect dial 1 or use my credit card and pass code”. They ported me to someone elses number. The man has had the number for four years. Their customer service line is busy 24 hrs a day. I call in the daytime, 10 PM, 1AM-3AM, its like the phone is off the hook or they blocked my number. Online trouble ticket, they emailed back saying they closed my account today as per my request. My request was FIX IT so I have service. (Even a monkey has the sense to just port it to an enactive number) Instead, they have taken my money, provided no service and kept me tied up for a month. I see why they don’t use their real business name! Seems the only way I’m going to get my money or any response from PagePlus is thru the FCC and their states attorney general’s office. The websites MS pulled up only praised the service and NO complaints. If you just HAVE to have their service, begin with the ten dollar account to see if your luck is any better. Don’t risk the $39.95 monthly reoccurring auto-pay. I’d skip PagePlus and keep looking.

I’m pleased to say that on my very first try! I was able to port a # from Verizon to PP via the PP-website. I did not have to call customer service at all. You can port # to any Verizon handset as long as it is not currently being used. The PPwebsite will ask you for a password for porting # and that maybe the last 4 digit of your previous tel# or your SSN.

I was tempted to go with StraightTalk but then I learned I can use my Verizon phone with Pageplus without having to buy a new phone so I did just that. I called pageplus and had my # ported to their service with the same phone which they happen to sell as well Motorolla E815, it took less than 5 min, it was done while I was on the phone with them. I took the $40/m unlimited plan and they use the Verizon network same bars as before. The reason I gave it a 4 star is the web mobil, kind of slow and cant seem to look at other sites other than the default MSN site. I dont mind that much since I’m saving $100/month with them now vs Verizon.

I am in Alabama and Iam considering trying this service. I have read many reviews. My question is if U get 20 MB free and 1GB = 1000MB. How much internet usage is that really?? Also I bought the Palm TREO 700w on Ebay for $23, can I not use this phone with this service since I didn’t buy this phone through this service ?? Any reply’s would be greatly appreciated !!Thanks, Mariann

I switched from Alltel to Pageplus a month ago. I can send messages to anyone on any carrier but I can only receive messages from Alltel and Verizon Customers!! I called customer service and they didn’t even know why it wasn’t receiving them. Its not a bad service but its not a good one either.

PPC data service is a scam and is been investigated by the FCC. You probably couldn’t get your Verizon phone to access the web at all and use the 20 MB for anything. So consider this as a VOICE/TEXT ONLY SERVICE. Customer service is absolutelly the worst. You are in luck if they get an order right the first time. On top of that the dealers scam customers right and left and even sell phones that PPC won’t be able to support. Dealers are giving them a bad reputation.

At this point, I could care less about rudeness. I am just happy-as-all-hell that customer service is keeping employment here in the US. I’d rather a competent customer service agent that it is rude than an air-headed, foreign customer service center that keeps apologizing and screwing up. Page Plus rules!

I am loving this phone service. Yes, it takes a minute to get through to customer service, however, for the price and the fact that they are located in the US of A, I dont mind waiting awhile. Before Pageplus, I was paying over $100 a month. I am HAPPY!

THE ABSOLUTE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE. AND they did process my unlimited plan correctly so right now, I don’t even have service. I’ve called 3 times within the last 2 days and they don’t know how to fix it. Terrible. I’m switching to Verizon.

I just switched to this company and so far sooo good! I was with alltel which is now verizon. I had the .75 a day plan free nights and weekends and free texting. But even with me making short phone calls during the day, I was still adding money to my account every two weeks. So I decided to look around for a better deal, and found page plus. I ported my number which at first I thought wouldn’t even work, but I still have it! And they even added $6.00 to my account! And I love the fact that I can use any verizon or alltel phone. And so far coverage is great! I’m satisfied!

I should have stayed with T-Mobile. Sure, I paid 30 more a month, but then again I could actually get someone to answer the phone in customer service when I needed them. After being hung up on 3 times, and listening to an operator talking dirty to someone when he didn’t realize I was on mute, and then getting hung up on when I told him I could hear him, I quit. There is a reason they are cheap, thier support and customer service SUCKS! Buyer beware!

I am a Customer Service manager and this is the first time that I have experience such poor Customer Service. Page plus does not value their customers. I called on 11/22/2009 with questions about my account and the associate name Mel was so rude and disrespectful. The first thing is it takes so long to get through and when I did he hang up on me twice without actively listening and showed no interest in my issue. I will be discontinuing my business with Page Plus and take it some where else where I will be appreciated. I will also send a letter to the local news paper and tell all my friends about the poor treatment give you give to customers. My issue is still not resolve and no one there cares.I called back for the third time and asked for the manager and was told I could not speak to one. This is not the way to do business.

Great value for the money. Excellent coverage using Verizon’s network. If Verizon doesn’t have good coverage where you are, it will effect you on PagePlus. Has been a good starter phone for our teenager. We have had the service for more than 2 years and have been very happy, including speaking with customer service. Prior we were with Virgin mobile.

Sharon: just so you know pageplus phones have a 4 month warranty you should have just called pageplus directly and they would have shipped you a new phone. Also, on their website they only advertise refurbished phones, don’t you check into a company before you buy? I dunno, I just love pageplus and always will..

page plus is the best deal for the money, 39,95 nation wide, can not beat that. however yes it is a little rough to get into customer service lines always full, i get the all circuts are busy now message. the customer service reps are nice and they dont mind taking the time on the phone with you once you get them on the phone. but if you want a customer service rep fast pay the extra 80.00 per month and go back to verizon or who ever. I found after ther alltel verizon merger, the verizon reps are very rude and short with you on the phone. the hold time to verizon is somtimes as much as 30 minutes. Page plus has some bugs to work out but still the best thing out!

Just kicked Straight Talk to the curb. What’s not to like? US-based customer service and 5 dollars cheaper than Straight Talk. The economy is bad enough right now. Page Plus at least contributes back by employing people in the US. Walmart, TracFone, and Straight Talk can pound sand.

i have been trying to contact page plus to change my voicemail password for the past few months and every time I call I get told that all their operators are busy. How can all the operators be busy at 8:55am when they do not open until 9:00am. I get alot of voicemail and not once have I been able to access this account since I got this phone and started using page plau. If someone from page plus reads this message they should contact me so that I can change my voicemail password in order for me to get my voicemail and text messages. My number is 814-460-0193.

Had Verizon for many years. Switched to PP monthly $39.95. Wow cheaper. Works wherever Verizon works. Customer service and billing system are horrible. The reps I talked to were always friendly and helpful, but very very hard to get through to. You have to keep re-dialing until you get through and then have to wait forever.

Great prices, but no customer service, and too many tech issues. Incoming calls drop after 30-35 seconds fairly consistently. I am sick of having to call people back and explain the issue. Long hold times to call customer service, and sometimes you cannot even open a ticket through their website cause that is also flaky. Time to move on.

great prices and network but sevice sucks and so does customer service. They say that they can use any phone on any network. Well i have a verizon audiovox xv6700. i got the unlimited plan with the 20 mb of data. everything was great for the first 2 weeks. well the last 1 weeks have sucked. i keep getting a computer interupting my calls telling me your service does not allow you to complete this call. message DU3.”. I have tried writing them and seeing whats going on they tell me to try to reprogram my phone and if that don’t work call customer service it might be a more serious problem. well icall customer service and get hung up on once after waiting 20 minutes. call back and waited another 20 only to have someone who didn’t know what she was doing. so she “transfrered” me to her manager just to get hung up on again. this company sucks. might be cheap but their customer service and lack of phone tech is a big MINUS.”
