I don’t care what those fools say that gave Boost Mobile a 2 star rating or less. It don’t take me no 2-5 mins to send a text or pic, the service don’t suck, and $50 a month is the best deal out there. Sure Metro PCS have more plans and features, but that’s because the service is not as great as other prepaid services. If you ask me, it’s Metro PCS was of saying ‘Yeah we got more phones, more plans and more features but our service sucks.’

Boost sucks. I live in NJ between NYC and Philly, os it’s not like I’m in the boondocks. If I’m driving in a car, I can’t have a conversation for more than 5 minutes without losing the signal for LONG periods of time. Frustrating. No signal at all in my house. Ridiculous. Web is non exisitent.

Boost is wonderful for talk & long distance but web surfing is so bad it can be concidered as non-existing! Also texting is so bad it might as well not be listed as a feature! But $50 a month for unlimited talk and long distance is the best deal going and I have tried all carriers…Boost wins hands down! Their web and texting is so bad it really shouldn’t even be listed as a feature and I have their new i9 Stature phone too! The Stature does have an excellant 3.4mp digital camera with flash plus an excellant mp3 player, also has excellant video too…11/27/09

Well I have a clutch sorda looks like a blackberry I like my phone it seems to work VERY well where I live unlike verizon it seems to cut in and out I really like touch screen phones I REALLY hope that they get some! Overall I love my phone and the texting however does take some time if you don’t have good service If you do its awesome! I think the down side is that you dont get a lot of choices in phones! however HERE IS SOME ADVICE when you get to where it won’t send or recive text turn your phone off and back on so it can connect with a diff. tower TRUST ME IT WILL HELP A LOT!If you go from one city to another you might want to think about turning it off and back on.

I have had boost for about a year and love it. The service coverage where I live is great (Oklahoma City and surrounding suburbs). I switched my whole company over to Boost. At&t was killing me for years with high packages and contracts. At first there were issues with slow text, however in my area that has been fixed and I get text within seconds. I text over 1000 a month with no problems. have never had to call customer service, unlike AT&T. I switched to the i465 Clutch, put opera mini, gmail, tinytwitter and some other cool software on it. It does everything that my Blackberry Curve did, but it’s only $50 a month. Plus you can tether to a laptop, granted its at dial up speed, but it does work. Boost and Nextel work on the IDEN system so a word of advice, check your area or areas you travel to and make sure there is Nextel Iden coverage. If you are in the coverage area all will be good.

I LOVE my service! Sure customer service is fairly slow, but I save a good $50 over anybody elses unlimited voice and data plan. I’ll ocasionally wait on hold to save that much! Boost has both iden (on the Nextel netork) and Cdma (on the Sprint network). CDMA is by far best, but Boost no longer sells any CDMA phones. You have to buy one used ( I sugest ebay) Oficially they only support the Krzr, w385 and the c290. How ever, you usually can convince a rep to activate most anything. I got a Mogul activated and it works great (bought it on Ebay)! A rep told me his supervisor told him it was OK to do it as long as they made it clear to the customer that they would not get any suport.

Look, FIFTY BUCKS FOR EVERYTHING! Had nextel for 10 years, this is the same and cost half of the nextel unlimited. Whats not to like. Two things: 1. You need to accept nextel’s limitations 2. Service quality is relative to where you live. If Nextel sucks in your area, guess what, so does boost. If your nextel is strong, so goes the boost. A+ for value!

The service is bad! i communicate mainly through text messages and let me tell you…there has been times when i received my messages 3 to 4 hours after they were sent, sometimes even 10 hours…there has been a few times when i did not even receive messages sent to me…their explanation was…they have too many users, they didnt expect to have so many so there is nothing they can do about it!!! they were really nice but it is still frustrating not being able to communicate with my friends…and i really don’t want to switch companies because this is an awesome deal! frustrating!

I have had no problems with my phone (clutch0 nor the service, It depends on the area you live where services is available. The brochure tells you on the back where you are most likely to get service. If you travel alot, then the phone services is probably not a good choice for you. I always get my text in a matter of seconds, had no problems with dropped calls nor internet. I think it is the best for what is out there.

VERY hard to get a CS rep on the phone!! Terrible customer service. EVERY single month my phone would just QUIT receiving text messages, then I called to have it fixed and the idiot CS rep ERASED ALL MY CONTACTS in my phone and could not retreive them !!! The only good thing about Boost is the fifty dollar deal with everything. The phone was nice too…the i335. Went to an even WORSE company called Straight Talk….Ive been in cellphone hell lately.

I have used Verizon as my main service provider for years and missed the option to text abroad. So, I got the Boost for international messaging. After having to wait a couple of days for the service to ‘kick in’, my messages were not going through. Contacting customer service never helped. They reset my phone numerous times, even after I had told them that the previous reset did not work, and each time I had to wait up to 96 hours for the service to work. Needles to say, it never worked; unless I count the 2 text messages that reached their destination. Overall, I am very disappointed with the Boost. The customer service is very hard to reach, sometimes you are stuck in a submenu for no reason. The CS associates are not very knowledgeable as far as the troubleshooting goes. Most importantly, the service sucks. It may work great within US but that was not what I was looking for. After a month of trying to get my service to work properly, I gave up and returned the phone and cancelled the service. When I asked the sales associate if I was the only customer who returned her phone because of the issues with the service, she said that somebody did the same thing right before me.

I had sprint and tmobile before this.. the truth is sprint owns boostmobile and it works off the sprint network so for the 2 plus years that I had sprint and i paid monthly $127 i could have been paying $50 a month on the same network with sprint.. the only problem i have had with boostmobile is the texts, they take forever to open and sometimes i can’t open them at all .. i had assumed it was the phone because it’s two motorala phones in a row with boostmobile that i have had these problems but perhaps they are on an oudated platform.. that makes sense .. hope they fix the situation soon though because i’m impatient as heck ..

Boost is still using an outdated TDMA technoclogy. Text messages take forever. Handset selection is limited to few devices, and once in a while the company changes the face plate color. Handset price is normally overpriced.

It’s a very good phone service. Espicially if your parents are stingy and won’t let you on thier plan, It’s cheap and works really well. I’m alwas using my phone and it lasts like 12 hours and I’m always on the internet texting and calling and my phones always on vibrate.I have better service then my mom does EVER. But what annoys me is the most is that they don’t really have a big selection on phone’s and I’very picky, AND the fact that you at one spot you will have full bars and then you move over an inch and you have none. But its overall good. I have the motorola clutch i465 btw and I dropped it in the toilet and it still recieved the message while in water. so good phone and the 50$ unlimited is great.

i’ve read these reviews n i had to leave a good one because everyone is beating up boost. i have been with boost forever. i am so satisfied. i understand ppl have problems but when i was with sprint, t-mobile, & at-t, i had the same probs that i have occasionally had with boost. they were all minor, nothin to stop the earth’s rotation n were fixed quickly….unlike with the mainline companies…. i also take care of my equipment and dont overload it or push it too hard. i recommend boost to everyone i know… im so much happier with my boost service than i am with any of the other companies i was with. im not with boost because of credit issues, i stayed with all the mainline companies for the service contract, was unsatisfied, and then went to the next one that i thought sounded great….only to b let down with costs, taxes, surcharges, and poor problem resolution. i’d rather get better service, a better plan, for a smaller price! i’m satisfied!

I have been with Verizon, ATT, T-Mobile, Nextel, Sprint and U.S Cellular and Boost Mobile is by far the best for the money. Yeah the phones are limited and you dont have a very large choice, but do what I did. I bought a (Nextel, Sprint) Blackberry 7100i on ebay for $60.00 downloaded the ‘boostberry’ software into it and loaded Opera mini. This phone now has the capabilities to do what all the OVER priced guys do plus walkie talkie for only 50.00 a month. I have google, facebook, myspace, outlook mail, gmail, comcast.net mail and yahoo ALL come through with no problems. Full web browsing just like on my PC at home. I was thinking about checking in on the new Straight talk by Wal-mart…. Buyers beware about that deal… BOOST MOBILE Rocks for us here in Illinois.. Oh and the guy that doesnt get service in Chicago, you must have a bad phone because I go there ALL the time and the service is flawless!!!

Boost Mobile…all i can say is wow. They do make it sound like they have the best service but they absolutely dont. I swear it takes between two to five minutes most of the time to send one text message. And half the texts sent to my phone..ha! I can forget about getting those. Of course it sounded good because that’s how they lure you in but their service SUCKS! Sometimes to get a little you have to give a little. And if you want to get a better phone service then you’ll have to roll out a little extra cash.

I have the $50/unlimited on the Motorola Clutch.. All was great with my phone & service for about a week.. The clutch is a Piece.. OMG.. It doesnt work half the time, it freezes all the time.. I dont get half of the text messages sent to me.. And when I try to send messages I have to let it go to my outbox, turn my phone off, turn it back on, then resend the message from the outbox.. I called Boost & was told that there was nothing they could do.. && service.. what a joke.. As long as you stay on the main highway in our county & surrounding counties you are great.. but get off the highway & you wont have service.. I am not satisfied with the phone nor the service… I went & bought a new phone today and change service in the morning..

I have been a Boost Mobile customer since they started. I’ve had past issues and found that the customer service people get this I could care less attitude in helping customers. Now the latest news…In the New York City area Boost customers have been having problems with their older phones….the reason is Boost Mobile Inc. has been doing an upgrade of the network & related hardware….but catch this.. The older phone may not work. So they make you come up with $20 plus dollars for a newer SIM card so your phone can work. Not even offering any full credit. Yes I’ll grant you that you get a miserly ten dollar call credit but the simple fact is more $$ coming out of your pocket for a situation BOOST MOBILE should eat the total cost of. It is not the consumer fault that BOOST decided to change to a better system. Why should we the consumer bear the cost? I think not

Horrible! I had the motorola slider & my sister had the clutch. The battery dies really fast when in use. I never had any other phones die so quick. Lets just say if the phone is going to be in use for more then 30minutes make sure you have it plugged in. Mesages take forever to go out. Service is not as good as others but I guess you cant expect it to be the best. Internet goes quite fast. Pictures in both phones ive used could hardly see. Other then that the motorola i856 is a very nice looking phone with features and a nice screen. The motorola clutch is ok but has a rather small screen and cramped keypad. I just had to go back to metro pcs.

The unlimited calling rocks. I do occasionally have issues with ‘network busy’ and I don;t live near any major cities. The text messaging is basically non-existant. Also on the i335 the internet basically consists of basic CNN news and weather as most of the sites don’t work on this phone. So if you get Boost just keep in mind that you will have no text messaging despite their ‘unlimited text’ claim. One example is that when I pay my bill at the end of the month, about 5 days later I will get a text that says my payment is due, so on the texts I do get there seems to be a lag of about 10-15 days. Whack!

I had boost for 3 months approx. at first I liked but eventually I start getting bad reception. On the phone, callers sound clear, but on the called side they could not talk to you. According with them your voices sound broken all the time. Also, I was living in a Complex Apartment in Raleigh with a lot trees, which was normal to me having trees; however, I had to go out my Apartemnt to talk! I did not like it. In 3 months, I complain so many times. So, it was chearper in compare with Verizon, but it did not work for me. I wish BOOST would take more action on it and increase more towers like verizon because the price is not too bad, $50 plust tax when you pay with credit card or debit card. I has a bad experiences with them. Should I recommen this service!! I am not sure!

0/10 stars, even. Don’t get boost mobile. Their customer care reps are rude and poorly trained, the service sucks, and the phones are horrid. Texting takes too long because messages have a tendancy to just SIT in your outbox, and never get sent. :/ And half the time, I don’t recieve texts people send me. It drops too many calls, has no service in the most illogical places, and is just generally a waste of time and money.

Boost mobile is a scam and a rip off i Purchased a 129.00 phone for my 16 year old she mainly texts i wanted something that she could get unlimited texting with and we would have control over the cost well the phone got no service where we live it worked in town but does not work 2 miles out of town so we took the phone back to the retailer less than 24 hours after i purchased it. I already paid ahead for the unlimited service for a month they will not refund any of the money or even let me transfer the service to a different boost mobil phone which my older daughter has so basically since there service sucks you pre-pay and they keep the money it’s a RIP OFF!

I have had Boost Mobile for about 1 year and before that i had verizon which was good service but way too expensive. So ever since i switched to Boost i have never had a dropped call and i go from Los Angeles to San Diego and over the border and i can still receive texts and calls. I have also been all the way up to San Fransisco and i never got a dropped call. I receive texts normally and all the time. I can always view them and send them out too. I have the Motorola Krzr I do not know if people have bad service because of their phone or not but my service is great. I would recommend this to ANYONE if you are paying to much for you service get this. -I pay $50 a month plus $ money I add to call to mexico. – I get Internet – Unlimited Calling and Texts(pix, vids) – You can also get Unlimited Walkie-Talkie but the Krzr doesnt have it. The service is great the only downside of Boost is the small selection of Phones. So now Im going to Get the nextel i8350 and unlock it. 🙂

STAR RATING 0- out 10 ill give it a 0 10 being the highs and 0 being the lowers…I’m thinking getting Metro-PCS I have Boost Mobile now. for 3 year’s now. I’m sick tried of Boost Mobile. Drop Calls. I had problem with them all the time its like I call them every month with a problem people say they call me an it never shows up on my headset, call last only 15 min at the most. cheap phones. not that many to pick from. they only have 3 phones to pick from if you want the unlimited boost c29 q385 qarzy or whatever it call i had all of them. its sucks the phone always breaking down. that’s why i want to go with metro-PCS they have many phones i want the blackberry or touch phone. I read all the reviews some are like i know its real like the talking to them over the phone its very poor English but the service is that that bad i know some people with them now and they never have problem with they service it seem like they happy with it. I’m for real about this people i call boost mobile so mush at time i get the same person an i don’t know if i talk to them they say hi you again having the same problem lets see what we can do. boost mobile is good customer in way but bad service what i mean in away is when i was having problems with the drop calls and people call me and at times it wont show up or pic wont come to my phone they sent me a new phone they said they was going credit me after the report is close they they lied. i didn’t get shit but $5 and i just paid my bill i was not with working service for 3 weeks only credit me $5 and i paid $53.33 for Unlimited text messaging, Unlimited pic and Internet. the Internet sucks so it time for a change. i have boost mobile to much of my money i always had problem with my service even the 1st week i had them now 3 years later still having problems. i gave boost mobile $1,919.88 so far an i not getting what i paid for so I’m done with them. so here come metropcs! hopefully i would not have any problem with them. by the way the only problem i have it the phone i want cost $300-500 BlackBerry® Curve™ $$399.00 and the Samsung Finesse $$349.00 i don’t know which one to pick maybe you people can help me . i want to get on yahoo IM search the web, download youtube video or even better watch it without downloading.. thing like like a little mimi computer but a phone i know its metro like like that in the smart-phone just yet but it a lot better then the phone boost mobile haves. so anyone can help me which phone you think good for me i like the touch phone but everyone telling me blackberry is so much better but i like to touch some one tell me which one is better and why and why not thanks email me if you like to tell me so reddvelvet1986@hotmail.com in the subject put in metro-PCS or just say it on here but it would be a lot easy if u email me tell me thank you again

Bought a motorolla I335 on Oct 1st for a total of $150.00 upfront money, and by Oct 14th the phone quit working and the retail store, as well as motorolla were not willing to help. The closest thing that resembled assistance was sending my phone back to motorolla which would result in not having a phone for 8 to 10 business days. $150,00 for 13 days is no bargain. Dedinitely designed for people that are perceived to be with out credit or the means to rock the boat. Huge rip off

I know people who have boost mobile or cricket and have such services because they don’t qualify for credit with a major carrier. Then they have the nerve to complain that they aren’t treated like god. Many (not all) have nowhere to go other than prepaid services because they chose to ignore previous responsibilities and it’s caught up with them. You get what you pay for, and if no one other than boost mobile, cricket, or metro pcs will take you, then it’s your own fault and you have absolutely no right to complain.

I have the I465. While I really like some of the features and the sound quality is good, I am completely annoyed with the texting. Whenever I send a text, it goes to my outbox and STAYS. It never gets delivered. I am an avid texter so this is more than annoying. I expect my phone to work and to work everytime. When I first got the phone a few months back, this was not a problem. Texts went just fine. But now, it’s a problem.

Boost wants to charge $299 for the I9 phone. Have they lost their minds? Send a text message can be a nightmare. Sometimes I get 10 texts all at once. Most of them were sent hours prior to actually receiving them. I also try and send a text message and receive an error message that says, ‘transport error’. What’s up with that? Boost rarely works outside of larger cities and bigger towns. I am going back to Verizon and pay MORE.

Just FYI, I paid on a prepaid phone I had through Alltel and LOST the entire amount after 90 days. They told me on any prepaid phone with ANY carrier there is no such thing as prepaid $ being rolled over…I thought I was paid ahead for almost a year, not wanting to bother with it…and they KEPT my $$$. Went in to a retail store and they couldn’t help me. I pay monthly now, it’s a hassle, but keeps ANY cell carrier from literally STEALING your money!!! BACK TO BOOSTMOBILE. My experience with them has been crappy, cheaply made-overpriced phones, dropped calls, dropped txt messages (incoming AND outgoing), duplicated charges/withdrawals, undependable reception, etc. I know a LOT of people that have went to BM, and at one time or another, they always have encountered problems. I think the problem with cell phone carriers is in regulating. Someone is NOT doing their job. PLEASE, follow through with any complaints with your local BBB, the BBB in Sunnyvale, CA (for Boostmobile), the Attorney General’s office in your home state, and any other agency, FCC, etc. Remember, cut/paste your complaint and keep it in a Word Processing file on your machine. When you start going into these online sites to file complaints, you might need it, plus, it saves time. Honestly look for Boostmobile to end up in a class-action suit, but how will that help us individually? That will simply serve to pad some attorney’s pocket, and spread across the board, consumers will get ZILT.

Boost mobile is great for the unlimited plan except for the service. Most places have no service which sucks and it drops alot of phone calls. I can’t even do three way calling and I have the 50 dollar unlimited plan. I am trying to switch to sprint but they wont take the number since it is the same company which makes no sense. I might have to switch to verizon.

They have not expanded their coverage area and I am still have the same messaging issues today I experienced the first time I got a Boost phone. I prefer to pay ATT $90 a month for better coverage and no messaging issues.

I live in colorado and the service is not good at all. They offer Unlimited Web and GPS but the service is BAD!. Internet (or web as they call it), is only access to their own little group of sites and not the actual real web like google, etc. The GPS is horrible! Accurate directions but updates too late. By the time I got to my destination it is barely telling me to exit on next right… UGH!…….

Really…? This service is horrible! I’ve had the Monthly Unlimited plan for almost 3 weeks and have had nothing but problems since the first day. After 6 calls to customer service I still can’t send or receive text messages. I’ve tries the ‘master reset’ and the ‘feature reset’ and still have problems everyday. This would be a good plan if the service actually worked, but I doubt that even after spending $200 on a phone and service that I will renew this service next month.

You do know Boost mobile is pre paid nextel, which is owned by sprint right??? The service is EXACTLY the same as NEXTEL so if you had no service issues with them then you will be ok. The only difference is your bill will be lower, you might even be able to use the same phones if they arent too old, you can get a boost sim card+$10 credit for $10 and try it out.

Rating should be 0 star! I have Boostmobile pre-paid plan for a few years. I always recharged within 90 days, but because I don’t use it that often I have a pretty big balance in my account ($114.35 on 9/4/09). In September I inadvertantly missed the deadline for recharging. I did it 1 1/2 day later on 9/6 morning. I found that they have taken the entire $114.35 from my account! I called them immediately to inquire. The customer rep couldn’t figure out what happened. I was transferred to a tech rep who said I missed the recharge date and they removed all balnace from my account. I protested that I have been good customer for a long time and this is the very first time I missed it by only 1.5 days, I asked them to waive the ‘penalty’ just once and restore the balance to my account. But I was told she could not do it so she transferred me to her supervisor on my third request to speak to the super. The super insisted she couldn’t help so I insisted on speaking to the manager. The manager said she could only submit a case to the executive and I could check the result after 24 hours. That phone conversation lasted 24 minutes. One day later I called to check. Again I went through the entire explanation process and several clerks later Iwas told the case’s verdict was: complete, closed, valid. I then went to their website’s contact form to complain and requested the contact info for their director of ‘Care Management’. The reply came one day later and asked me to call their customer rep.! I called and was put through the entire loop again to no avail. They robbed me of $114.35 just for being 1.5 day late for the 1st time in years! I plan on filing complaint to FCC and BBB. I will also broadcast this to every board I can find. Boycott Boostmobile!

I was using Cricket and really liked the service, but the calling areas were way too limited! So, I swithched to Boost. I must say, I have no problem with making and receiving calls. Sound is clear and have not had a dropped call yet (only had it 2 weeks). Texting is slower than Cricket, but can deal with it. My main concern is that I can not download pics that I receive. My I883 will start downloading, and then abort after about 32% on the slide bar. So far customer service has not helped with the problem. Customer service could be a whole lot better!!

Ive had verizon for 6 years, i got tired of paying $150 a month and sometimes $250-300 for a plan that wasn’t even unlimited and no two way. Their cust. service was excellent but it wasn’t cheap…. i went from an awesome blackberry curve 8330 to an i465G clutch (which i love), its NOT the same level at all but i expected that, YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR…. WHAT DO YOU PEOPLE EXPECT OUT OF A $120 PHONE AND $50 A MONTH SERVICE???? If you don’t like it then go to verizon/ATT and pay a several hundred dollar deposit plus pay $100+ for a phone and be locked into a contract for 2 years with a bill of $100-200 a month and a $175-200 dollar early termination fee and quit whining. My boost service is AWESOME for what i pay, its not perfect but neither are any of the others, i live in a major city and i have no problems with service, i know they are improving and getting better now because they were overloaded for a while with people switching from the other ripoff carriers, many people with boost have no problems with it as long as you dont expect too much. if you want to download stuff all the time and get online and all the fancy crap you have to pay for it, if you want a phone that you can call without worrying about minutes and overage charges all the time ITS GREAT!!!

If I could rate Boost Mobile’s service with a minus star rating I would. I have had nothing but problems since march 2009. Dropped calls are the biggest problem. Everyday I have at least 5-8 dropped calls. No service indicator comes on all of the time. I live in a metropolitan area not out in the boonies. I plan on dumping Boost and going back to Virgin Mobile ASAP.

I’ve been a Boost customer for over a year now. But the customer service goes from ok to really bad. I spent over an hour last week on the phone with customer care just to change my mobile number. In all, got transfered to 4 different people throughout the company. First the Boost care rep couldn’t complete the request, then for some unknown reason, he transfered me to someone from Sprint or Nextel. The rep at Sprint/Nextel didn’t understand what I wanted. Kept asking me if I wanted to port my number to a new service. I found myself practically yelling at her. Simply saying ALL I WANT IS A NEW BOOST NUMBER! Kept getting put on hold. After repeating all of my account info three times in a row due to a bad connection (with other reps laughing loudly in the background). Put on hold again before the woman comes back on and again, transfers me BACK to BOOST! So then the connection was almost non-existent. Couldn’t hear this new Boost rep for anything. Thought I was talking through a can with a string attached..By this point I was wondering if any of it was worth it.. Even the walkie-talkie service works well for only about 5 minutes of a connection before the ‘boinking’ sound starts followed by ‘user not available’ or ‘user in data’..I used to use the old Nextel service on the job back on the mid-90’s and don’t remember the direct connect being as bad as it is now.. So after all was said and done with customer service,I discover that I got $10.00 deducted from my balance for a ‘Market Transfer’ fee AND a ‘walkie-talikie number change’ But here on the Boost FAQ’s it states that up to 3 number changes are free, THEN YOU ARE CHARGED $3.00 each one after???!! On top of that, yesterday I got my call dropped and my phone read ‘No Service’ for almost an hour before the signal returned..I’m on the $50.00 unlimited plan on my i335 boost phone and pay-as-you-go on the second i425 family phone and I guess the old saying is you get what you pay for. They really need to overhaul the way the company deals with it’s customers and not just rely on pricing and value deals to keep subscribers.

I used Boost for a few years because of the $1.00 a day PTT service, which was compatible with my husband’s Nextel work phone. Also, my daughter and son each have a Boost phone so the $1.00 a day to talk to my family was great! Service is good because of the towers in my area. … the problem? My husband recently purchased a boost card to add money to my phone and the card was ‘locked’. I called Boost and they said to speak to the manager of the store to unlock the card ‘coz they probably swiped it wrong. I called CVS (81 Milk Street, Boston, MA 02109) and they said the card was swiped correctly and shows on the receipt it has been activated and that they can’t reimburse us money because the transaction is through Boost. CVS told me to call Boost back. I did. Boost told me to fax a copy of the receipt, Boost card (showing front and back of card) and to write my name, cell phone number and 4 digit code on the paper. They told me within 4 hours of receiving this fax I will automatically have the money added to my phone. After 4 hours… nothing. I called Boost, they said they received my fax and told me there was nothing they could do ‘???’ I asked if they could send me a new card or reimburse me my money… all they could say is ‘we’re sorry but there’s nothing we can do’. I asked them if they were seriously gonna rob me of $50.00 … FIFTY DOLLARS!!! They said ‘we’re sorry’. I can’t tell you what I said to them because my comment will be deleted by the moderator of this site but you can use your imagination. Oh.. this discrepancy went on for six days. I went to my bank and filled out an ‘ATM/DEBIT Card Dispute Affidavit’ to stop these crooks from stealing my money. I have a few more weeks to hear from my bank. I asked my bank if Boost will be aware that I’m doing this, they said yes. I’m glad. Hopefully my bank gets the $50.00 from them so I can stick it to ’em! I’m guessing I wasn’t important enough to deal with since I was only a ‘prepaid’ customer with no ties to a cell phone plan… it’s the only thing I can think of. So, after this experience I only have two words about Boost…. ‘THEY SUCK!!!’

Only one complaint, and that is the phones, the battery life on the phones is terrible and has been for years. Otherwise this is a great service, but 3 days standby on a phone is not acceptable. I stick with Nokia, Nokia is the best, 10 days standby and sometimes more. Boost likes Motorola for some reason and all their phones have bad battery life.

Boost has been pretty good for the money. I use it mostly in Chicago and southern Wisconsin. Reception can be touchy a lot of the time, even in Chicago. The most annoying thing is quieting the phone. It has an obnoxious Low Battery alert that won’t shut up even in Silent Mode and it won’t even let you shut the phone off. I had to take the battery out to kill the Low Battery warning chime. Luckily I wasn’t in a theatre or in class or something. Texting is very cumbersome. The internet won’t load a lot of sites. Entering internet passwords is very frustrating because the phone automatically capitalizes the first digit even in lower case mode, you cannot enter periods if it is in Word Mode and if there is an @ symbol in your username, it’s a pain to navigate the phone for that. The texting in general requires a great deal of keypad acrobatics. The ear speaker distorts quite a bit, so I have to have callers repeat what they say a lot. I’m going to hold on and endure with these drawbacks and see if they introduce any better phones. Their current lineup–even the pricey phone sets aren’t that good.

They have wiped out the memory and told me I had to buy a BOOST moibile phone over and over and when I would not do so and use my Nextel COMPATIBLE BLACKBERRY that is when they completely wiped out everything on my PDA (yeah passwords and job information) and etc…Then they (even though my account is password protected LOL on that one) constantly allowed third party vendors to take 6.99 at a time WITHOUT my permission then proceeded to tell me THEY WOULD NOT REFUND THE CHARGE AND REFUSED TO BLOCK THAT PARTY…I am turning them into the FCC for this as what the rep said was EITHER move your sim card to a BOOST phone or buy one to block it yourself….SCREW BOOST I AM TURNING THEM INTO THE FCC AND THE STATES ATTORNEY GENERAL as they DO ANYTHING THEY CAN TO TRY AND FORCE YOU TO BUY A BOOST PHONE.

I got the i335 and my wife got the i776 from a retailer in our city. The i335 is one tough little hombre. 😉 Both phones work great. The push to talk is superb, with quick respose and low latency. The texting function works faster than others have posted, but it’s not a deal breaker since we don’t text often. The Internet browsing is basically limited to WAP, but works well enough to get basic text-only sites. In a pinch, the i335 can be tethered to a laptop, but speeds are less than dial up. Call and voice quality are loud and clear, both incoming and outgoing. At $50 per month per phone, this is a much better deal than we had with AT&T or Verizon. No taxes or surcharges to bollix up the budget. The few times I had to call customer service my questions were answered and issues addressed. We use Loopt, which is great. We never have to ask, ‘Where you at?’ All in all, we’re getting the best bang for the buck. If I had any friends I would tell them about this. 😉 Hope this helps. 🙂

If it wasn’t for the fact that I need NexTel Direct Connect for work, I’d NEVER have boost. The DC works well, but regular phone service in my area is the worst. You can drive down the road with 5 bars and a minute later have ‘No Service’. They drop my calls all the time and getting a signal sometimes means standing outside. This all depends on the area I’m in. I suspect those that love boost must be in an area with strong signals.

Boost Mobile blows somethin’ awful. I bought the Motorola Clutch. I got it started (got $5 just for creating my boost acct) and noticed something right away. The Moto Clutch doesn’t have expandable memory, and the screen’s resolution isn’t good. Anyway, I began to text and noticed that it was taking a looong time to send/receive texts. Long story short, Boost doesn’t offer both SMS and MMS messaging. ONLY MMS, so the msgs take quite a while to send and receive. Sometimes I couldn’t even send or receive them because I had more than one being sent to me. I do not recommend Boost unless you don’t text.
