Boost Mobile has introduced a new LTE phone this week: the Samsung Galaxy Prevail LTE. This third generation low cost phone launched on Monday and is aimed at the growing LTE prepaid market with an affordable price tag and functional hardware that will get the job done without all the extra bells and whistles. The Samsung Galaxy Prevail LTE is on sale now for $130. Here’s what the hardware looks like:
  • Android Kitkat 4.4
  • 4.5″ touch screen
  • 1.2 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 410 processor
  • 8 GB ROM
  • microSD card slot (up to 128 GB)
  • 1 GB RAM
  • 5 MP back camera
  • 2 MP front camera
  • HD Voice enabled
You can check out the full specs here. Looking at the phone, I can’t help but be reminded of the early Galaxy S3 models in the appearance sector, and Samsung is a pretty well-known brand. The phone is expected to have a battery life of around 19 hours of talk time and can be used as a mobile hotspot with the applicable plan. Boost is a Sprint-owned MVNO that offers no-contract monthly prepaid plans to cost-conscious consumers, starting at around $35.
